Anyways, thanks to all that were involved with making last night happen. Met some really awesome people, danced to some great music and for the first time in years, completely enjoyed myself on nye!!

Sorry we missed out. We were hangin' out with Tony (057) earlier in the day, and he gave us a short, but hard time about not coming. We TOTALLY wanted to see everyone (been a long time).... but I had the stomach bug the week before, then got an upper respiratory infection the next week (being sick for the holidays, hoooooooray). Lost some more baby lbs. wahoo! (trying to look on the bright side of things, hahahaha)

I'm sure it was an evening not to forget.... Def. one for the books.

Yes, a great party..

I met Mike Roos, and didn't realize that's the Mike I was meeting until well after he had left for his set at Minc. Darn. I have been wanting to have a talk with him about some mutual friends I recently discovered we share. Oh well. Next time.

I had fun starting the paint-it-yourself mural with Dawn. I'm NOT a painter, but it was fun to get a little messy.

A really good friend of mine who is originally from here, but now runs sound for a psy night in NYC came in to throw down with us. It was WONDERFUL to see him. I only get him twice a year these days..... NYE and Flipside. He's awesome, and very very good friend. I'm just sad he goes home tomorrow, and I won't get to see him again for another 5 months.

Jello played a track that was driving me crazy. I know I know it. I know I have it. I know I've played it before. For the life of me, I can't recall what the hell it is. I went to look at the label, but it was a side that didn't have any text printing. He was busy mixing into the next record. I'll never know.

My set time got switched to 4a. I had been trying to restrain my alcohol intake until my set time, and I did a relatively good job. I haven't had many libations since around September, and absolutely none since November, so I was being particularly careful to go slow. At my request, my friend made me a drink about a half hour before I went on. Hot damn that thing hit me WAYYYYY hard after about 3 tracks. Bad idea on my part. I don't like spinning drunk. I screwed up a couple of times, but I got a WHOLE LOT of compliments.

Just after my set, John Walker paid me one of the most memorable compliments I think I have ever received. Coming from John Walker in particular, it was very special. Thank you so much, John. You are too incredibly sweet, and what you said touched me so very much.

Fuck you to the guy who stole my phone and my keys out of my purse during my set. The only way I found my phone was because I went up to someone to ask to borrow a phone. He handed me one that I couldn't figure out how to unlock, so I asked him to unlock it. Instead, he handed me MY phone saying "Oh that one doesn't work. You can try this one, but I don't think it works either." (my phone, too, had a keypad lock engaged) He got chased off while I was looking for my keys, and later Jessie found my keys where the guy was sitting when he handed me my own phone to "borrow."

Next time I run into that guy at a party, I'll be sure to let the organizers know what happened on NYE.

At the end of the night, in a quiet room, I had a random heart to heart with Jessie. You are a good friend, sir, and thank you for all that you do.

thank you Jesse and everyone else involved in doing this one right. all your hard work made the night!
the place looked great! met alot of new people and got to see alot of old friends. good music all night to match all the good energy everyone was putting off. all the artists and performers were wonderful. everybody was pretty respectful for the most part. I was a little disappointed that my set was cut short by 20 minutes, though. no hard feelings.
wish we could have stayed longer because it was definatly one of the better new years parties we've been to in a while.

Thanks, to everyone that made it out to the studio for one hell of a wild ass new years. I don't think I have ever seen that much alcohol consumed in such a short period of time. Hell we didn't even finish all of it!!!! Much appreciation to everyone that took part and made it happen!! It is all the little things that put the magic into the shows and it wouldn't be possible without the efforts of everyone involved!! Definately a New Years to remember!!! So many freaks, so many memories. Props to everyone!!! We will do it again!!! Also if anyone is interested in using the studio for special events, please get in contact with me and we would love to help!!

now that i've had time to digest all of NYE's aftermath... i can fully & without a doubt say that it was a SMASHING SUCCESS!!! soooooooooo many wonderfully talented individuals collaborating to make ONE fantastically crazy neWyearz!!! Jesse..... you know man... it's been my sincerest pleasure to work with you on these events.... though i am still pretty wiped out from it all...it was TOTALLY worth it! thanks for letting me be a part of it! SuzA...i love your birdy's (I think my kiddo liked them too….) brad's glass is the ish...like always (my mom came by during the setup & bought two of the round ornaments)... mike's graff./paintings were also very kewl... (mama likey the graffiti)..... kevin's live painting of his girl was super fun... thanks for all the compliments on my arting…much appreciated!!!

i really should thank CyberIna for getting my inspiration flowing...to just start attacking that giant canvas i'd stretched out... WOW... i mean... who'd have thought that SO many folks would have participated... LOVE IT! I’ve got both of the community pieces at home now…I’ll shoot some pics of them & post…fun fun fun!!

Though it was freezing.. I’m glad that we had the heaters/pit going….plus with all the dancing it made it hard to really get too cold. Every single dJ rocked it!! What a mixture!! The hip hop group was fucking kewl too…I plan to see these guys again… down to earth katz.

who was at the NINE EYES STUDIO New Years Eve party and stole my Sony Handy Cam video camera. You know who you are!!!

You know what alot of people spent alot of time to set up and throw that party so that you and everyone else could have a good time. We opened our doors to you and welcomed you in to party with us and celebrate community and new beginnings and you fucking lift my camera! you know it's not so much the camera that i care about, it's the footage that i shot and the footage i didn't get to shoot because of your shitty selfish act of taking things that don't belong to you.

SO I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I FORGIVE YOU FOR TAKING MY SHIT BUT I FEEL LIKE YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU FUCKED UP THE REST OF MY NIGHT. THE LEAST YOU COULD DO IS FINALIZE THE DISC AND SEND ME THE FOOTAGE I SHOT. I SWEAR IF YOU HAD ANY IDEA OF HOW MUCH TIME AND ENERGY AND COORDINATING IT TOOK TO EVEN THROW SUCH AN EVENT WITH THE INTENT TO DOCUMENT IT ON FILM TO BE EDITED AND PUT UP ON OUR WEBSITE SO IT COULD BE SHARED WITH OTHER PEOPLE WHO COULDN'T ATTEND BUT WANTED TO.
