i've been reading the posts about the cover thing...

we'll try to sort something out that works well for everyone.

also, thanks for your opinions on the music and such. words like local and headliner are just marketing terms IMO. Talent is talent regardless of where you live, where you've been or how many thousands of people come to see you. there's an amazing amount of talent in this city that goes unnoticed daily due to politics and such. no mistake about that. free door or not.

we want to bring great events and we'll sort it out.

anyway, better get back in the studio and tighten my shit up.

AHHH! I am by no means trying to start controversy in ya'lls thread or about LN. I go to minc on the regular and yea maybe I usually avoid the cover in one fashion or another so maybe I'm spoiled. I coughed up the 10 spot and had a good time. It is a bit much to me, but fuck it, who cares, I'll get on the list and pay $5 happily if thats how LN rolls, not a problem.

Mike - your shit is tight (as well you know), you work the crowd well, throw a magda or camea track in there for me next time bro

not a bad idea. but let me get this straight...

you'll pay $10 to see Kaskade a million times a year or some other big name but you won't do the same for guys that just so happen to live in Dallas.

if you're telling us that our artists/ djs can't bring it like someone with a bigger name...then we need to step our game up and that's respected. But if it's because our artists names aren't as popular as someone else, which seems to be the case here...that's a shame.

Also, maybe we shouldn't try to bring cutting edge international guests to Dallas because Dallas would rather drop that extra five on a beer or cocktail. If so, then the public has spoken and we'll save those guest spots for other cities. As we said before, at the moment our artists are playing for free. Maybe that doesn't mean much as "techno becomes the new electro". Everybody here knows the rules of the game.

There's always a cost and it will always come from somewhere.

As Mike said, we'll sort it out.

i agree that the existing entry fee is a bit much...especially with our country's current economic situation. I don't want people to not be able to come out to hear us because of a cover charge. we'll sort it.

also, I apologize if Brad's comments come across as harsh or offensive. that thing about being passionate again. we're definately not passing over Dallas with the guest djs we plan on bringing. Kazell next month, followed by our good friend Erphun in June. that's that. we'll sort it.
