Luca Bacchetti @ Lotus - Dallas Dance Music - Dallas nightlife, music, tickets, and more

Might as well make a proper review thread.

I think it was everyone's first time to Lotus....

The place is really dope. Nice, clear sound but it can be loud and bumping. Good layout and a chill patio right on McKinney as well. Seating was comfortable. Free parking was easy [right behind building]. Drink prices decent. I think $5 beers / $6 wells. A+ venue

I got there near the end of Kean's set (10-11p) and was just getting settled in but his sound was great as usual. Luca was just sitting around in there chilling so it was nice to sit and chat while I got my camera stuff together.

Mike came on at 11pm and by 1130 or so most people had arrived and the drinks were flowing.... so more people were starting to dance a bit and stand around instead of hiding at the bar or patio.

Its hard for me to describe music sometimes, but Luca did it proper and did not disappoint. Everyone had a great time that I talked to and even with the small crowd there managed to be a dance group centered around the DJ booth area which was nice. Lots of group clapping and such... good vibes and energy flowing around.

Luca is a top-notch guy.... very friendly and easy to talk to. Fortunately got to hang out with him some after the show as well. Definitely would like to see him return in the fall.

I really respect what Mike is doing in this scene, I wish I didn't live so far from Dallas, otherwise I would have deff been there!

Lotus is a dope venue, glad to hear it's being used for a "propa" event!

had a few issues getting the traktor set up but got that all worked out.

glad everyone enjoyed the venue.

Judging by the pics, looks like a great time. Small crowds aren't always a bad thing, when I caught Pan-Pot, Sebo K and Anja Schneider at WMC, they had a crowd of maybe 30 people, for WMC that is very small but it was very cool. I was the only Dallasite btw. Met a few folks and the music was sensational. Looking forward to more events like this.

I was at that! Niki Beach right? There were even less people when Shlomi was playing, but from Luca on it was pretty busy...
