When i got there is seemed like a bad ass show, but I was not able to get in due to over capacity. All good, I still had fun outside hanging out.

PLUS, i got to talk to the Sexy Jeremy Word, so that made my night! hehe

it was terrible. I can't believe Lizard would continue to oversell the venue to the point that both the DJs and all of the people there must endure the experience rather than enjoy it.

We were hoping that Paul Van Dyke was an anomaly but now we know this must be how it is. Needless to say we will never go on a big night again.

Last night, however, was an absolute blast with some of the best music Lizard has had to offer all year.

i remembered benassi's wmc set. expected something like it. nope. got kinda pissed when i saw him text msging during his set -- but i never would have noticed had i not been a little bored to begin with.

word > funk > benassi.

maybe he had some big shit planned for past 2:30a, but i guess i'll never know. fuckabuncha fire marshalls.

I'd love to be able to comment on Benny's set, but thanks to management at the Lizard Lounge and the fucktards at Full Access, the place was so fucking oversold that we gave up and left. Almost an exact replay of our experience when Paul Van Dyk came a few weeks ago, only this was far worse. Seriously, having the fire marshall end the set because there were too many people is absolutely inexcusable! Every square inch of the venue was packed.

Maybe it's outrageous of me to think that we would be able to dance to the music. Frankly, I'm not sure I understand why anyone would want to be crammed into a hot room to watch someone spin. I can listen to the same music in the comfort of my house and not have to shell out $30.

Here's a novel idea...raise the ticket price by a few dollars and sell less tickets! It will make the experience far more enjoyable for patrons and talent alike.

It is the responsibility of the venue to ensure that the maximum capacity is not reached. The venue is the one that is going to get the ticket, not the promoter.

Therefore, the venue should have told the promotor working the door not to allow anybody else into the show.

Yes, Full access may have oversold the event, but it is still up to the venue's door staff and security to make sure that it is not over capacity.

The Lounge lets this happen almost every large show that they book there, regardless of the promoter... its about time something was done about it, its just unsafe.

I can't say anything negative about Full Access or the staff. They are in business to make money and they bring excellent shows to Dallas. I have been to clubs all over the U.S. and clubs are packed at every venue when you have a Benny Benassi or Paul Van Dyk there. I know it is a disappointment when you go pay $30 or $40 a ticket and the show is brought to a close due to excessive amounts of people. My opinion is that I am just glad we have somewhere to go see these dj's period. I am so thankful for the Lizard Lounge and Full Access/Prototype Industries and props for bringing such awesome talent to Dallas.

This is what my husband said about Benny too! I was way too drunk to really give a shit at that point, and had a serious blasty blast while we were there!

We left right after 2am.. I couldn't handle it anymore.. it got pretty crowded after that.

I don't know how old you are or anything, but back in 2002, BT played there and originally it was an outside party, then it rained.. and everyone had to squeeze their asses inside.. well, basically it didn't work out and I had to literally crowd surf to the front door to leave. Benny Bennasi wasn't as bad as that at ALL... I could still work my way around to the other rooms and the patio..

I personally had a great time until the drinks stopped flowin'. Nut up and deal with it!
