 | Ladytron and Datarock
We arrived at the beginning of Data Rock's set, which did nothing for me personally. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it. I don't know but I found them to put on a mediocre set. I think I liked a total of .5 of their songs. The Dallas crowd did not appreciate them much either. At the end no one was clapping and the lead singer said, "Thanks for the warm reception, we really appreciate it" LOL Ladytron went on at 10 and they were amazing. They played for a full hour and a half, not much talking in between songs. They basically just announced the tune and played it. I realized that not too many bands do that anymore and it was actually cool cuz while I'm into them I'm not 100% familiar with their work so it was nice to know what I was hearing. That said, stand out tunes were Seventeen, Ghosts, Black Cat and everything Mira sang in Bulgarian was wicked and quite sexy. The sound was good this time. (Last time we were at Palladium the sound was terrible) The lights were minimal but effective. There were times when I felt like I could have been in Berlin or some other European city, in some dark club with ill bass and dark vibes all around. Good times.

I agree. Datarock=sucking donkey balls Ladytron=fucking awesome! That was pretty hot when she was singing in another language. They are from Bulgaria? The lights were cool too, and I liked how they kept it nice and dark on stage.

They're from Liverpool, England but one hails from Sofia, Bulgaria originally.
