Great show.... superb local talent in every room... (Mali, Jayson Gold/James Warren, Jonas, Cloud9/Chaser, and Locklear) No matter what time of the night it was or what room you were in the choice tunes were bangin' Sadly I don't remember too much after Gareth came on, but I still managed to take photos. (Also discovering I had taken more than I remembered) Maybe someone can post a better review of Gareth's music and such. Pretty good crowd turnout also. And I'm glad to see the Lounge has permanently added the TV screens for visuals. Photos here: http://www.tonicphoto.com/gallery/20080606GarethEmery/ |

I had a blast!!!! Oh wow - way better than pvd could have done! This guy was kick ass!!! Don't remember specific songs, but I remember there were a ton I recognized and I really liked - does that count? I was just having too much of a awesome time. lol But I remember everything just top notch. It was the newest and biggest trance there is out there right now. I think the only old one I recognized was Tiesto's Flight (insert unknown number here) lol It was great! Gareth was super nice, but it was hard to understand him with such a thick accent. lol His cd skipped during a song and completely stopped. Gareth's face turned red and he laughed at the crowd's reaction as he started a new track. I was able to run around and check out everyone's set. Altered Beats - did a great tag team. All new stuff was played that I really enjoyed. Dark techy - yay! Mali - I was able to check out him a little bit. He had people dancing early in the night. He was playing some nice grindy stuff. Cloud 9 vs Chaser - they are such a great tag team. They compliment each other very well. Primo Electro. Chaser did a bday set after Gareth too to close it out. He slammed on some heavy elecro house. Jonas - really kicked in the trance. I was sooooooo happy! I wanted some tunes to dance and sing along to, and he did it well. I kept pretty much front and center through his whole set. Locklear - well that dude always kicks ass at some techno. I remember being in there, but I don't remember much of his set at all. But I'm sure whatever he played, I enjoyed. So glad that the LL are keeping the new visual screens! Crowd turnout was awesome!! Thanks to Elevate for an amazing night! Thanks Jonas for the afterhours shindig. Oh I'll have pics and vids up tomorrow. I didn't get many vids because for some reason bouncers kept telling me to stop recording. Pics only. Last edited by sharper; 06-07-08 at 10:51 PM. |

Brad, Thanks for coming and taking pictures. I had no idea you planned to be there or I would have introduced myself. Thanks to everyone that came out. Thanks to the supporting DJ's helping us have a great show. Was a great time. Gareth is a very cool guy. I dropped him off last night and talked to him for about an hour, he loved the gig here, had a great time playing and meeting everyone. It was his first trip to Texas, he was amazed at what he saw. Definitely one of the most down to earth DJ's I've ever worked with. Thanks again for helping Jonas and I have a great show!

I had a grand time, good turnout altogether. Thanks for coming and taking fotos Tuna, sorry about the guestlist mix up. Much respect goes out to Elevate for another great booking. Gareth played a really nice set, I really enjoyed it, something I haven't been able to do at the lounge in a while.

Had a really good time. Great to see all of those that came out and was really good playing along side some really good local talent. Brought many different sounds that all seemed to compliment each other throughout the whole night. The crowd responded very well to the music and seemed to really enjoyed themselves. Gareth really enjoyed himself. Made mention of it on the way to the airport the next day and said he would definitely like to come back.

Some vids.... well, it was really dark so I couldn't get video of the DJs. They didn't come out. So I mostly just took vid of the visuals while they played. Gareth Emery Jonas - Deadmau5's remix of Silence....NICE! Altered Beats - just visuals. glad LL kept the tv's - yay! |

I had an absolute blast at this show. Altered Beats played some dark and dirty techno to start it out in the main room & Mali was laying it down proper in the video bar when I got there. John & I played some really driving proggy techno for our first hour and John transitioned into some nice driving proggy trance after that. Jonas was dropping some bombs and did a nice job opening for Gareth in the main room. Gareth got on and was tearing it up! I think he progressed his set very nicely. Bouncing back and forth Locklear was playing some dirty glitchy techno in the video bar. After Gareth I got the opportunity to play for a while in the main room and I hope that I kept the energy flowing after his set. Thanks to the crew for sticking around and hearing what I had to play. The system sounded really good in there. As always, Thanks Mat & Steve for having me out. Thanks for taking a chance to bring some fresh talent to Dallas. Thanks for letting me throw down my B-day set after Gareth. It was really fun. Steve, Thanks for the hospitality at the afterparty retreat. Look forward to hanging with you guy’s real soon! -Chad
