damn, what a night!

I can't believe how many people were actually there, supporting a new weekly at a newly reopened venue, with a local line-up and no drink specials.

I guess that just goes to show how much people like/respect John Walker.

(edit: is this weekly also hosted by Josh, or is he just down on the regular?)

John, you're the man! IMO your new weekly is already a success. It appeared that everyone was having a great time. The music was dope, the movies playing in the back room were choice, the DJ set-up was friendly, and of course with all of your (our) friends there the vibe was right.

Josh, damn son...you always impress me with your record collection. I don't know why I continue to think that all you have is tribal, progressive, tech-house type stuff. Your deep techno collection ownz!

Well, thanks for having me out. I can't wait to hear Revolv next week!

k, here it is. every week we will be featuring a different $3 drink special.

last week was $3 mono's, this week was $3 three olives, they are gonna keep it rotating to keep it fresh, im TOTALLY down for that. also the beers start at $4 (and they have decent selection too), so if you are a bit tight on the budget (we all know how that can be) the folks up there are really helping out !! so now u know youll always have a $3 option for top shelf liquor!!




music is coming along great IMO. we are starting to get to dig thru years of traxx as well as hundreds of new jams, starting off nice and chill, by the end of it we were straight bumping the minimal bizness.

jerm, totally dug the bug vs hawtin cut, cool vinyl too.


some things are already in the works too, if we continue to see this support, you are all gonna be in store for some out of town heat every so often, it seemed to work fine once upon a time, he he..

highlight of the night:

face: "i was a bit worried when i heard you were playing techno a lot more these days, but MAN, you guys are playing some FUNKY stuff, i need labels and names"

coming from that man, i took it as a major compliment for the folks throwing down up there.

It's been a good long while since I have been out on a week night (actually its been a few years). Bumpin back and forth from Minime and Battletech was good fun...but its also got me home "sick" from work today. I was really impressed with both places. Solid turnout and glad I could make it out...but I was just a tad bit too drunk for a Tuesday. When I seen 1am roll around I knew I was in for a hurting today. Good sounds all around last night...people were cool too.

I got kinda stuck in North Richland Hills helping a friend pack her stuff...
then we went to Caves lounge in Arlington and proceeded to get sloshy. Next week though, count me in!
