Halo///joey///brett///craig---zubar!!!

WOW! What a night! HALO FREAKING MURDERED IT!!! He didn't let up at all-soulful/deep/some minimal deep tracks were played all night! If you haven't heard this guy, you need to-there is a reason he is playing all across the world. Craig killed it to start the night off, and after Craig, Joey Foley took the decks and started playing classic soulful deep house. Joey was not alone though, as an added surprise/bonus, Brett Johnson came and tagged with him until Halo finally took the decks. With Paige serving drinks, and the extra sound that ESP set up, it was a perfect combination.

THANK YOU TO ESP, MOOSH, and ZUBAR for a great night!!

Yeah, the tunes were hot last night. Missed Craig's set but that Joey Foley cat had shit hoppin' when we got there. Really enjoyed his set and I spent a lot of time on the dancefloor. Brett popped in for just a bit but he killed it....again! Dude just flat out owns shit! Such a nice dude too.

I gotta be honest, I HATED Halo's set last time he was at Zubar for Juice. He played a lot of vocal stuff that night too but it wasn't nearly as soulful or groovy as last night. He brought it propa this time. Wanted to stay longer but it was getting too crowded.

There were some cats out there house steppin' last night which I highly encourage but am always surprised to see. So I pulled one of them aside and asked them why I've never seen them out at BANG! or any other true house music events where they could really cut loose. Fool told me they normally dance at Lizard Lounge. I started laughing at him and told him it didn't matter how good they get, until you start dancing to some real house music, you ain't real house steppas! Fuckin' LL. C'mon dog? Then I ask for his contact info so I can get to educatin' these young cats and give them the 411 on some good house music events (since they are just greenhorns and probably just need someone to point them in the right direction) and he gives me myspace.com/badbrothainc, which I checked today and it took me to some project thing by Johnny Funk & Mr. Cooley.

Hey, if any of you niggas are reading this, time to step your game up! I even heard one of ya'll say "now this is real house music" last night. Yes it is my brotha and there ain't no half steppin'. You either is or you ain't house. That last night my friends is House. So if any of you cats are on this forum and reading this, I better start seeing you fools out at proper House events, and you should start with Jason Hodges this Wed. I can't think of a better style of house to step to.

HOUSE MUTHA FUCKAS! DO YOU DANCE IT?

Yea last night was just what i needed. Being that here lately i have been getting into alot of electro infused stuff, it was nice to fall back in with the soul. Nice tunes all across the board!! Halo had the crowd goin crazy. Very nice set by him. Was a little loud back there though. Alot of convo that i couldnt really even hear. Ha, i was tryin to talk to this girl and after about 3 or 4 "Huh" "Whats?" I just gave up and went back to vibe-in out!!

Good to see all the regulars out and shame on those of you that were not there!!! You missed a killer show.

Hats off to C-Rod for makin moves!!

"Now now now the second most popular game we play as children is HOUSE!" Had to be youngins but then again at least they found their way there. Ya its funny to me now how much people DONT dance anymore...more or less its either swayin...hoppin in one place or just cloggin up the dance floor. Halo is a champ...crazy I remember back to my later teens in Chicago when he actually played progressive house at the raves and to come full circle soulful...well it was a change for the better. I'm hoping to make it out for Hodges myself but its midweek and I'm old now.
