| My Morning Jacket
Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. They really do just keep getting better & better live - it definitely helped that I got up right to the very front by the rail. No opening band - just 3 hours of really good rock & soul. They started off with Evil Urges & played a lot of stuff from the new album (Touch Me I'm Going To Scream, Thank You Too, I'm Amazed, Highly Suspicious, Two Halves, etc.) & a few songs from Z (Gideon, Wordless Chrous, What A Wonderful Man, Off The Record) & ended the night with One Big Holiday. Highlight of the night....I saw Erykah Badu sitting in the corner behind the stage. And sure enough she came out & performed with them when they did their cover of Tyrone. All in all - Perfect night, perfect band, perfect show.

It was! And I forgot to mention they really opened up the show (Before busting into Evil Urges) with Jim James dancing to Mr. Scruff's - Get A Move On. Jim James a Mr. Scruff fan? I think he just got a million times cooler.

I love them. I'm still bummed I missed them at Bonnaroo. Stupid Vodka. Saturday night Drex told me what a great show it was too. Then he told me all about Steely Dan. Then I went and stood in the corner punching myself.

yeah they were so great i went out and bought two of their albums yesterday. very eclectic music style, and the lead singer's voice grows on you like a leach. they seem to have a very dedicated fan base too. that place was going ape shit. especially when erykah badu came out.

they are an amazing band. i was late to the game on them. i bought everything on iTunes immediately after seeing them on Jimmy Kimmel or one of the late night shows. great fucking band!

i really like how they have some really groovy tunes, some really mellow, moody tunes, and then will just melt your face off w/ some rock, and blistering guitar solos.
