James Z.. awesome! Moby... great! Much better than I expected..!! now, I figured we had at least 1 more act lined up outside. Dirty south? DJ dan vs. donauld glaude? but... nope! they shut stage down. ouch!!!! This wouldn't have been so terrible - if the crowd woula been able to actually get inside! by the time we finally managed to find our way through the crowd, there were cops barring our entrance from the club. Oh well - I'm sure it was 30 degrees hotter inside anyways. My friends paid $40 for their tix...... and the management effectively totally cut them off! Did someone -really- think that the entire crowd would fit inside after 2am?? What was stopping us from having just 1 more DJ at the end of the night for an hour? I have no idea how this decision was made, so if it was required by the law b/c of our sound permit.. well, whatever. I guess I can understand that. but if someone just thought up the idea,.. "yea, hey we should just cram everyone inside at 2am and shut down the outside stage" - well, smooth move, JACKASS!! :P disappoing night on the logistics. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first arrived to see that my 'Will Call' line was 10x longer than the cash line. I mean... WTF? I thought that's why I bought the ticket early to begin with..??? Sure, I understand that it's tough to process will-call tix... but seriously, we needed at least twice the staff alotted for the job. I stood in line for 25 mins, literally.... grr,I buy 'em online beforehand for a reason - so that I'm able to just stroll by the booth on the way in and show them my receipt and stroll on into the party. Holy crap! Last night was -anything but- that... anyways, I complained a little. they said the club wasn't responsible for the tix presales or something like that.... anyways. whoever I need to complain to, I'd like to complain. well, at the very least - I was taught to ignore any opportunities to buy pre-sales at the lizard lounge, that's for sure!

moby dropping l.a. style! what? yes, and then some. because james brown is actually dead this time around. the crowd connect ownage and instigation was so refreshing to see marked by scaffolding climbing and gabber posed endings. i love to see people love what they create. holy james zabiela! banging left and right. blonde waves in the beautiful led glow. [still love that stage] mannnnnnnnipulation. again i love to see people love what they do. and zabiela has always been one of my favorites for a head-bobbing, hip-shaking, deep and kinda dark-ish ride. couldn't make it inside until after 2am save for the last of merritts set returning from the head. adam f, jayvon, and mc xyz [with denzil slangin too!] grooved the side bar. kept the dance on until 4. mcs bomb the blocks! sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooo many dearly beloved faces and old [okay so we're only in our thirties nowadays] friends. 10 years. and it STILL felt amazing. kendog - always looking out with the after-episode. your shreveport kin were fun! a big happy family. love to you. ANNNNNNNNESTA! i love you much. it made my night to see your beautiful smile for the first time in a hot minute. i miss you. rave on soldier. ;] shared a lot of emotion, danced with the husband, smiled too much, crossed paths with many a wandering soul looking for commonality amid dirty beats, didn't drink too much, got back inside after 2am, and still came out on top. a truly enjoyable event in gorgeous weather with my decade old friends. yes. and then some.

Moby and Adam F are the only artists I got to enjoy. Loved every second. "Oh My GAWD, is this, that guy?! Who plays that beach song? From that movie?!?!" Trancediva was out in full effect ![]() I had so much fun! Got to see all my lovely friends (except Brandi and J wtf?) This party def seemed like a party culture V. drug culture UFC match. Or have all Meltdowns since the 5th been that way? In any case, it was a fucking blast. Next year? Yes?

Got there early, and caught the last few JV dropped outside, choice tunage bro! ![]() Dub-stomped to Merritt inside, thanks for dropping the KRS remix! Keith P didn't get to educate, but L.A.T.E. was throwing down! ![]() ...and now for the big acts I caught outside, while I was enjoying this beautiful weather: Dave Aude - played some hard-hitting big-room remixes of artists such as Basement Jaxx (Head) and Human Resource (Dominator), and played some progressive tech-house tracks that were pretty groovy. James Z - played more tracks in the same sub-genres, but added the effects machine and his enthusiasm. I enjoyed his set very much. Moby - played two of the same tracks that Dave played (the Basement Jaxx remix, and the one that has that very brief sample of Belo Horizonte). He played a lot of fidget-ish stuff at the beginning, but ended up playing some rave classics just like I wanted him to! He played James Brown is Dead, Go & 1,000!!!! ![]() I had a great time! Thanks Jeremy for keep on keepin' on brotha!

Not so much baby. Example: Im a member and participant in the party culture... Not so much in the drug culture. And I know many many many people just like me.
