So... it was around 10:00 Saturday night... and Trent was sitting around playing with his new toy... PS2... and I was like, "Ok, honey we have to go"... and he asked, "Is there any trance out there"... and I replied, "Well... no."...

He decided it best if we stay home... as he wanted to play with his new toy and wasn' t in the mood to drive to Hawkwood...

So, we passed out around 1:00...

I AM VERY SORRY!!! I could have kicked him in the butt to get us out the door... but I was getting kinda comfy myself... we suck for not making it out to show our support...

I am sure it was a magical evening... I know we don't make or break an event... but I felt bad because I know many of the people involved... and said we would come show support.

Again... very sorry!!

PS- I read the reviews, and it sounded like a wonderful evening!

I STAYED HOME PLAYING MY PS2 ASWELL. MAX PAYNE

It was just a non-party weekend for me this week because It was non-stop for 26 hours in Vegas last weekend so I made it a point to stay home and enjoy this weekend to do absolutely nothing. If you would have had "TRANCE", I would have been there for sure..........................but when I found out that there was no trance my motivation was gone. FOr the most part I am going to be away from the scene for about 30 days so until next time. We will see you on the dance floor.

Oh Bunny.....there was no trance at "aural pleasues" and you made it out there.

In fact your post in the party reviews for Aural Pleasures was one of the motivating factors that made me always want phuturithims to provide a unique and spiritual party that made people remember the old days. Well, .:enchanted:. was a good party with great people and great music, but it was no "Aural Pleasures", "Blur" or "Down". A great party nonetheless, but it just didn't have that "HOLY SHIT!! How did they get away with this!!!" feeling, or that "OMG, I haven't been to a party like this since 1994" feeling which was what Phuturithims was about. So you missed a great party, but not a "Magical Night" like you described Aural Pleasures or that you would have always kicked yourself for missing. Fun times though nonetheless.

luvya bunny...and I hope you kicked some ass on that PS2 last night Trent. Honestly, I left and went went over to Joeys and played Tony Hawk some too, but if you tell anyone I'll deny it.

Just a quick question Karen...

What do you think of progessive house? Ever heard R-type spin [I would be surprised if you haven't]? The reason I ask is because I KNOW you like trance... and even though I don't spin trance I still love GOOD trance, but it's hard to get into it anymore when I hear shit like what R-type drops. It's enough to move you emotionally, but without as much cheese as I hear out there... it just seems more complex, more intelligent. I'm in no way trying to bash trance at all, but when I hear some good deep progessive house, it just makes me not want to listen to trance anymore. So I figure, I know you aren't ever going to give up listening to trance, but what about expanding into a little progessive house? I don't listen to it all the time or anything, I just thought it would be more your thang, ya know? Anyway, sorry you couldn't make it out, I had a fuckin blast, and EP did fuck that shit up!

I hear ya Eric B... honestly... we just found it hard to get motivated to get our asses out the door. It happens sometimes... and we suck for it!

And... I am touched that something I wrote here on this message board might have been motivation for you to follow your *dreams*... thank you for that compliment.

Also, I was told that E.P. was scheduled to spin DnB... so I didn't think there was any trance. Maybe someone told me wrong?

I am sure we still missed out none-the-less... as many great people put it together!

AMBUSHDRUM... to address your question...

Yes, I do get into progressive house at times. Digweed in Colorado Springs last year made me SEE the light. He set was flat out better than what I seen from Paul Van Dyk.

I even support progressive house events... I go to Jack's Pub and have been to Seven a few times.

Sometimes it moves me... and I dance all night. Other times it seems boring, repetitive, and too heavy... too serious (hey, come on, life is serious, I want to go out and have fun and feel happy!)... and I am disinterested in it. Really a love/hate affair going on.

Will I sit here and tell everyone that I will love trance forever? Nope. I am not sure where I will go musically... but for now.... trance is what TOUCHES me... it's what MOVES me... even if I am standing still.

I like the fact that trance can be uplifting, happy, and then dark and mean... and I like that most trance tracks have many layers of amazing sounds... that come together in a symphony. Trance is my passion, and my love.

Hee-hee... this many sound silly... but I think of me not liking trance anymore... kinda like Wes Stubblefield not liking DnB anymore.

Trance as a genre is always growing and changing... just like all genres do... and shoot, if you listen to PVD's live set from the Rosentaug (?? spelling)/May Day Festival... you will hear some of these changes... as PVD has many hard trance tracks on there.

You say you are growing to not like trance anymore... well, let me ask you, WHAT trance are you listening to? WHO are you listening to? There is some bad trance out there... I will admit to that!

But... in the end... I have found that genre preference is kinda like falling in love... you know what is right and what is wrong... and you can't love what doesn't feel right.

You and Trent were definitely missed. Being the proud owner of a PS2 myself…I understand Trent’s position. I think my PS2 and lack of support from my girlfriend (at that time) were two major factors of my “MIA” from the scene for such a long time.

I missed you guys reguardless. There will be plenty more events from both of our crews for us to hang out again!
