Is it just me or has the lounge been getting more boring every week, dont get me wrong I like going but it just doesnt have the same vibe that it used to. or maybe its just because school has started. *shrugs*.

Is it just me, or has it been getting better every week? I mean they used to try to regularly mix the DJ Merrit/bikini top and the bangin' trance crowds... now they're totally seperate, last night I stepped into the main room for a total of about 3 seconds, the video bar/deck/roof was plenty for one evening..

Then again, there was a killer vibe early on in the year.. I just wish these two good points could come together at some time..

Lizard Lounge = Old and Busted

The only reason I ever hit that place is for A) a Full Access event or B) to get my Epik fix.

That the vibe in Video Bar hasn't been the same in a few months...

BUT I guess I am biased... cause I USE to see all my friends out there... walk through the crowd and chat and dance with everyone I knew.

Now... well... friends aren't to be found.

I knew like 8 people up there last night... including my DJ's.

Sad commentary.

Times change... things change... and the Lounge had to change the main room to cater to KISS FM... sure, there are all different genres played... but I think a sound by Nelly was on the popular ones... all good though right? Let's face it... in times like these if decisions such as this aren't made... a club might not stay around.

The Lounge has been around for 10 years... for a reason... they know what they need to do... to stay in business for 10 more.

It's all good though... our guys are still rocking the Video Bar, when special events do not arise... and kids are still bouncing on the dancefloor.

Mind you... not too many dravers come out... but it's all good... that's how a weekly goes...

BUT we are working with the Lounge on our 11-27-02 event... and it's going to be amazing... and I hope that the dravers that I know and love come out and make an "exception"... *smile*.

Last night, Friday.

I really enjoyed the video bar while I was in there (from 10-10:30). I was amazed to see so many people dancing so early.

Up stairs on the roof top was kickin too! I heard some large breaks being played up there. Some songs, I hadn't even heard before! *gasp from the audience in disbelief*

The main room has a Kiss FM Promotion from about 9-12 which usually isn't quite my style. It's not bad at all though. It tends to feel a lot like a house party which is pretty cool. Everyone is dancing...everyone. People aren't just standing around with blank looks on their faces, or just wandering around fucked up. People are DANCING. That room has more crowd reaction in 15 minutes than I see ANYWHERE else in a month! And I'm not talking about the contests, or reaction from seeing barely clothed women, (which by the way is NOT really a BAD thing in my book I was barely clothed Friday myself!) I'm talking about the pure energy that drives each of us to keep going to these "RAVES". The crowd reaction a dancefloor has when the DJ pulls them into the next track and the crowd realizes at that moment that this is exactly where each of them want to be. Now to me, that's pretty damn cool.

After the KissFM promotion I saw all kinds of old schoolers getting their groove on to some Funky House. No "Nelly" can be heard after the promotion. Last night, there was not a person in the main room NOT having a good time, you could see it all over each of their faces. Pure bliss. Dancing. Great Music. It was great to see so many "oldies" out there dancing right beside me.

I can't think of any other dance club in Dallas that is Nationally Recognized, that gives MORE local talent a chance to shine, and brings more international talent through it's doors.

As of late, I think its been pretty damn good. At least last night.

Yea I think the Lounge is more boring now then it was a few months ago, especially on Fridays. I can still have fun in the video bar on a Saturday night but the vibe isn't the same as it was last year and at the first of this year. I think it's because a lot of the old crowd that used to come isn't there anymore.

I hope you guys know that when the business dies at lounge so will the club. How will they stay open if they cannot pay their monthley bills? Although alot of people "hate" on the lounge on the boards, we will be losing one of dallas' premier night clubs. (whether you like it or not the lounge IS one of the most popular clubs in dallas or even texas) Who will you depend on next to bring in the huge names that the lounge brings in??? Will you cram into the jacket and not be able to move or breathe even? The last place to go for big names would be area 51 which only brings in cheese talent as most of you call it. We will just have to drive a really long way each time we want to hear a big headliner. You people don't care now, but wait until the lounge is gone. Dallas will be a totally different place. But hell, for all you die-hard local lovers this will be good. When the giant dies (the lounge) someone has to step up. We will see.........

I've been to lizard lounge once.

I despised every moment I was there. For some reason it was horrid. That was like over a yr ago but blah. Never really wanted to go back after then. That place just has an overall bad vibe or something.

Well yeah the Lounge is getting kinda boreing .... damn those KISS FM kids booty danceing on the dance floor getting in my way and getting mad when they get hit or kicked or elbowed from danceing ahhh forget about it and dance is what i say and if they get hurt oh well...

and fix there damn a/c esp. those damn leaks and there damn restrooms yuck!

A good dj with a track selection that doesnt consist of rehashed cheese thats been played the fuck out sense 2 yrs ago.

Andys a good guy but Hes right on par with Irene. Wait Im sorry No one deserves to be put in the same catagory with her. At least andy tries.

Ok, people Lizard Lounge is trying to give everyone a chance to enjoy the music and have a great time. They have different types of music in 3 different places Friday and Saturday night. It's also one of the only after hours clubs in Dallas with a lot of room to move, and walk around. They do bring in a varity of music.
Lizard Lounge can be fun for those who know how to make fun where ever they go.

I go to the lounge nearly every saturday night just to see Andy but the vibe has changed a lot over the past year. I try to post when it's free cover before a certain time just to get some dravers up there. cuz theres a lot of preps that go up there just to roll in that atmosphere. I just wish people would stop going just to roll it makes me sick watching all these stupid preps sit on the couches all night with a glazed over look in they're eyes.

I don't know maybe it's just me but I think the lounge is still a good place to go, to dane and appriciate the talents of certain good DJ's.

P.S. The restrooms are very disgusting but thats why I TRY to avoid them as much as possible
