Highlights: - Meeting loads of really cool people - Losing myself to some of the best music I have heard in my life - Last hour of SOS @ BED was out of this world - WOW Live PA @ Shelborne; Some really beautiful music from these guys - Simon Baker @ No Fit State; Holy crap this guy is good - Ryan Crosson @ Everything in Between; Watch this guy for some groundbreaking work, totally blew me away. He was doing some things I have never seen/heard being done before. - LEEEKY TIKI!!; I won't even try and explain; Pelican - The sound on the Space terrace - Hallucienda; What an incredible vibe this place had. The NoBassSet was something legendary. Hats off to Three and Burridge, two of our favs going back to back was very memorable for us. And the Dallas crowd in the house made it even better. - Jamie Jones Live @ Get Lost; Live set of the conference for me...so many incredible tracks. Get Lost always has one of the best vibes of the conference, this year was no different. - Johnny D @ Cecille/Oslo; Catch this guy if you can, very unique style and really freaking good. Great crowd at this party too. - Under a school bus at SS4D, only in Miami - Ice cream at SS4D - Ice cream truck horn at SS4D - "The fog" at Ice Palace; WOWZER!!!! - Jesus in "The fog" at Ice Palace - Bug's inside set @ SS4D; madness! - Cassy's closing set @ SS4D; 1st time seeing Cassy and I was mezmerized at her grace on the decks. The smooth transitions between moods/styles was so flawless. - Not leaving until Tuesday; Having that relaxing day on the beach Monday was needed Downfalls: - Blue Door @ Delano (just meh) - Not finding the extra towels in the condo until the last day - The Hallucienda bathroom line - Cecille/Oslo bar line - Gerber's set being cut short due the monsoon @ SS4D. His set was going down as one of my favs until that happened. - The sauna @ Electric Pickle (upstairs) - Sitting on and breaking my camera Both Ways: - Viva Vs. Cadenza - While the music was exceptional I wasn't quite sure I dug the Space crowd. It was an experience to say the least and I am glad we went but I could have done w/out some of the people on the terrace...some were SOOO annoying. But the music was so freakin good ALLL night. -Lawler @ Nocturnal; His set was fantastic but I wasn't feeling the crowd or the club all that much. The fiasco at 4am probably wouldn't have left such a bad taste in my mouth had that not occurred. - Cassy not being able to finish her last song all the way out @ SS4D (probably a good thing because the tears were already starting) Memorable Food: A La Folie crepes YUMM!! Grillfish's Seafood A La Diavlo Thai food @ Sushi Siam Tacos @ T-Mex Fresh pasta @ Tiramesu |

Yah I saw your post on TA. Fucking Hallucienda bathroom was retarded. One time when I was waiting I had been chatting with the dude in front of me... and then he goes in and takes forever, so I just open the door and was like "Dude I don't care what you're doing in here I just need to piss"... so I did while he smoked, then some other dude came in. But yeah I only stayed there long enough to see Burridge. Def a cool venue on the roof though!

Highlights All the supporters of another successful Proton Sessions, as well as all the DJs who played. Also the great staff and management at Love Hate. no bass set at hallucination the best. Truly the most memorable set of conference for me. Burridge and Three truly destroyed the place with no bass. Nic Curly set at Cecille/Oslo - plain sick as well as Johnny D afterwards. Solomon's set at SS4D - simply insane (especially with the light beaming through the fog inside) Digweed at Vagabond - What can I say classic Digweed doing what he does. 6 hour set, and was by far the loudest set by everyone. Getting a text from Jason saying he was under a schoolbus Eating Sandwicherie, and having awesome seafodd at Joe's Stone Crab Disappointments Zabiela set time being robbed by some strange DJ who played the worst crap ever on a keytair (keyboard + Guitar), and actually played Corey Hart I wear My Sunglasses at Night while he wore those crappy glasses with slits in them. Also the crowd was something else because they ate up all the crap. The only positive was that we did not pay to see this crap go down. Traktor sets bored me. Never felt like a vibe was going on when someone was on Traktor. Not setting one foot on the beach. |

Wed @ Love Hate Proton Sessions- got to hear Cloe and Tom Budden. Very nice and deep downtempo set by Chloe. Then Tom got things bumpin. Great to see the guys from Opencloud and Co. Those guys followed us around to like everything . Damn.Wed @ Bed- Danny Howells was amaizing as usuall. He played everything: deep house, tech house, tribal house, old school progressive, techno, and electro. He was out of control. Oh and he played wax. Thurs @ Shelbourne Pool-Saw Dennis Ferrer. Dennis was dope as hell. He mixed it up very well with a bit of funky house, tribal, and techno. Then Butridge came on and played one of the best live sets I've heard. It was dark and it sounded fantastic on those Vdos speakers. Then Luciano vs Loco Dice. WOW!!!!!! They tore that pool a new asshole for about and hour and a half. They played bomb after bomb. BOMBS!!!! The craziest Euro trash was at this party: a dude witha a Borat bikini (so nasty) masked Obama man, and crazy ass dudes with wistles and fog horns. No Guido muscle men. Thurs @ Love Hate-Saw Sneak, Phil Weeks, and Hector Morales. Not my type of house, but those guys were amaizing. They were technicaly flawless and very energetic. Sneak was the shit. Fri @ Bently Rooftop- Didn't know who was playing but we didn't stick around to find out. Fri @ the Hallucination Rooftop- RIDICULOUSNESS!! Droog warmed up the place very nicely. I was very impressed listening to 3 guys play and make it sound like 1 dj. Then the master of disaster Lee Burridge played if no bass for 3 hours and like everyone else said killed it. It would have been the best set I heard at WMC if it had bass. Then Three and Lee tagged and got RETARDED! Sat @ The Victor Pool- Cecile vs Oslo was DOPE AS HELL. Landsky was dope and Nick Curly was the absolute shit. Johny D was great as well Sat @ Nocturnal- Circo Loco/Lights Out- Lawler was doing his thing and it was sounding good. Nothing to really rave about. Upstairs at Circo Loco, however, the night was shapping up NASTY. Andrew Grant played a dope ass minimal set and the Tiefschwartz got on and were killing it when the fucking fire marshall decided there were way too many people in the club (there's now way the venue was even at 1/2 capacity) Sun @ Heathrow- Luke Fair did a wonderful job playing some nice house and techno.
