It was a great show until the last 10 or 15 minutes when they tried killing someone in the audience with Sonic Death.

hahaha

i'm torn on the review.
1) being so loud you have to wear earplugs takes away most of the sound that we want to hear. they could have lowered the sound just a notch to make it sonically bearable.
2) i hate bands that have zero crowd interaction. not one word. if you had your earplugs in, then you couldn't hear them anyways... but whatever. not one thing.

they just came on stage and played. and the packed house just stood there and listened. no moving. no jumping. just stood there listening with earplugs that muffled it to death.

tickets were $39 not $60

who's who list of people there... from the flaming lips to deep blue something and every other music bigwhig that didn't catch their show elsewhere for whatever reason.

had a good time: YES
glad i went: YES!!!
greatest show i've ever been to: NO

It was def good times but towards the end it just got way too loud. They played great and their visuals were awesome.

i thought it was incredible....they sounded fantastic....the "sonic death" at the end is commonly referred to as "the apocalypse" by the band and their fans....ran about 15 minutes last night....i loved every second

my review sounds a bit harsh. 'cause it goes both ways. after about a couple of songs i had found my happy-medium with the ear-plugs vs freq cancellation ratio. it was also nice feeling the music...

soon is one of my all time favorite songs. i remember playing that in heavy rotation back in college radio. some of my fondest memories go back to that era and hearing that last night took me to that place.

i had an awesome time! the end just made me feel so at peace, really. the wall of sound just permeated through me, shook me to the core! it was my first time seeing them live & i definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't had the experience.

my only problem were all the damned strobe lights....i kept thinking thank fucking god i'm not epileptic!
