| Good music last night!
Thanks. Well Dallas, last night you let me have it. Probably the best night I’ve had since I moved here about 7 months ago from Austin, nothing short of great music all night. Our night began @ Seven; oh God cheap drinks can get away from you. The Ridgeback folks started the night out just right. So many Djs don’t understand the grace of building the night. Let me tell you one Darren D and Brillo have their shit down. Don’t get me wrong I love the dark shit but working it in after a couple of hours of deep west cost in key. Well done! Jay Winborn followed up just in time with a harder edge. Unfortunately the time was 1am, time to turn in our tickets for free a Danny Howells CD, and to move on to Tunnel for the Thinmen. As we left the club on the way to the car, I realize how drunk I am and reach into my pocket to be discussed on how much money I spent in drinks. Oh yea dollar drinks! Nice, plenty of cash to throw a few back with (the Thinmen) Adrian, Doug, Shaun, his wife and some girl with a name that rhymes with banana, who for some reason kept hitting me and yelling. I wasn’t really listening, it was clear she was just as drunk as I was. The night took a brutal turn around 3am as Mr. Wes Lee and I decided it would be a good idea to go next door to Area 51. If you haven’t been there yet pay attention. This is an outstanding club, however I didn’t have near enough coke or money to fit in. We looked like children compared to the towering monsters grazing the club. I’m not much for the music there but Wes sure can “back that ass up”. After a quick scan for women and to realize we had no chance with them anyway it was back to Tunnel to finish the night. Details become scetchy from here on out but I did make it home and I'm ready for tonight. Once again thanks Dallas, it is 5pm now and I still have a hangover! |

Record Box was gettin his on last night. Good to see you out and having a good time. BTW, for those of you that dont know Recordbox, he is the infamous Jacob Steele, part of the Slow Motion Music crew out of austin....he made a name for himself in the Austin scene before recently returning to Dallas. He recently launched http://WWW.RECORDBOX.NET which is a new website for electronic dance music freaks that everyone needs to check out. Also, he just did a breakbeat mix of Thin Men's "you are" that is pretty fucking tight. Anyway, just wanted to give a little insight on what Jacob is all about. oh yeah, he is a pretty cool cat to hang with too if you can tolerate foul odor. peace doug d
