Miguel Migs at Plush

Hai guys. I don't come around too often, but I figured this is as good a reason as any to actually post on here.

Miguel Migs was fucking awesome. He tore the roof off that place and had me dancing all night.

But FUCK THE BAR STAFF! They charged me for 4 shots of Patron when I only had 2. Then, when I disputed the tab, the bartender called me a motherfucker, accused me of being unable to pay for my drinks and refused to fix the tab.

So I got charged for 2 shots I never consumed and then treated like garbage by the bartender. Needless to say, it was the lowlight of my night and I'm never fucking going back to Plush. Jesus Christ could be tag teaming with fucking MC Hammer and I wouldn't be there. And a I live a block away from the fucking club. (ie: I walked there from my apartment. It took 3 minutes.)

Hey man, that is very rare!!! Plush staff are extremely friendly, I'm very surprised of this. I would hate for one small action to affect your chances of seeing amazing artists. Since you live so close here is what we can do. Wednesday July 15th, it will be frankie bones, Simply Jeff including myself and I will have you covered on door, AND buy you your two drinks, plus another for the trouble. Let me know if that can help. You know bartenders too and the shit they go through people trying to hustle them, $35,000 a yr millionaires coming up tipping them shit etc. My friend was a bartender so when I know one is having a bad day my approach is completely different.

It's personal preference.... When I saw Eddie Halliwell there it was the most incredible experience I've ever seen. I don't know how someone can not like this venue. It's by far the best venue I've been at in texas and I believe I have been to them all, in the dfw area that is. As far as venues goes, I can literally give two shits if someone dope is playing. Could care less where I am because when I see a dj ripping worlds, I am in the zone and do not even know where I am except the place the artist puts me in mentally. Only a few djs can do this. And when they come out, I am there!!!

true... I guess I just got spoiled because it used to be that when anyone baddass would come into town.. we would go see them wherever they'd playing at, and the dancefloor was shared by only true dancing folk, and true lovers of the music. SO the couple of times i have been to Plush there has been more people standing around and being in the way, and spilling drinks all over the place and on my friends head up from the vip(????)... that seems to me it hasnt got the right vibe yet, not saying it wont, but its def needing some working on. Got get the family back. All im wondering is what Miguel Migs though of that Joint? for the Dallas scene

I can totally see that at Plush, it's more upscale and the douchbags are gonna flock to it (but that's who spends money, not house heads or people who are truly into "EDM") and Will it ever get a vibe like say, minc had? I highly doubt it, just given the vibe you get from the looks of it.

But Jeremy has always done his best to bring a cool vibe to "Douchbag" lounge/clubs/bars (like Ghost Bar etc..), so it's always gonna be mixed (and that's being nice, cause I wouldn't call 50 "house heads" and 150+ others mixed).

But if it's someone i really wanna see is gonna be performing at Plush, Then I'll go to Plush no questions asked. As of right now though, no one has come through that I really wanna see at Plush.

And would you PAY to see them?

From your comments on other threads your taste in "house music" is on another level and your "taste" is quite particular(to say the least)...

And from the vibe that I get your sentiments mirror the majority of the "dj's" in this city...local minimal techno dj's only check for "minimal" out of town guests...local nu disco dj's only check for "nu disco" out of town guests...jackin' local dj's only check for "jackin" out of town guests...etc., etc., etc.,

I don't dj(at home only...if you want to call trainwrecking "djing"..teehee) but from what I observe you local dj's don't support each other so how are you expected to support a out of town guest(regardless of venue...whether upscale or shit-hole)...just because you and your dj denizens "aren't into that style/type of House"....

I guess this is an example of that 'cohesive scene' that juandingo mentions...

How many times have you been to Plush? I have been there twice, both excellent times. Eddie Halliwell was the sickest night, no douches in sight. I'm going to see Dj Rap on Saturday and expect the same. If you walk into plush with expectations that douches will be present your setting yourself up for a vibe that radiates to the people there. I on the other hand can walk into any "douche" setting and go up to the biggest douche in the building, no matter what he says to me I can still brush it off my shoulders and turn it into a good conversation because I am happy, happy because I am there for a reason, there to celebrate the artist I am there to see. No one can take that from me, I am too strong for that.

July 15th there will be frankie bones and simply jeff, we're shutting off the upstairs so no drink spilling will be possible. You should check it out. If they were nazi's why would they book jazzy jeff? they are very nice over there. And the sound system?!?! 2 vdj 1000's two tech mk 1210 I believe, the black ones, and an efx 1000 and funktion 1 sound system. It's pimpin! Josh Wink himself even said it was the best system he's played on in a long time. I mean what other venues can accommodate international talent like that? Lizard Lounge? I mean cmon Lizard Lounge is a fuckin rolling ballz party joke compared to plush. How can you beat $3 you call its and its real u call its not crown and down teasers. $2 martini's.... Fuck juan hit me up, come have 2 drinks on me for bones and jeff.
