Friends With Headphones would like to take this space to expressly thank everybody who contributed to the success of Wowie Zowie 2009. The designers & architects, the friends who showed out to help out, the party guests who brought their enthusiasm and positive energy, everybody who helped pick up trash afterwards (seriously, people- each little bit from you means a whole lot to us), everybody who helped pack up afterwards, everybody who helped create and maintain the vibe of what one of the visiting law enforcement officers called "the most responsible party I've ever seen." It takes a village, y'all. Seriously. Thanks again to everyone for everything.

What an awesome event, and in the heart of Fort Worth too.

Some peeps were still doubtin the relevance and success of any event in the 817 before this night, but after this, and the 3 nights a week of Dance music at various locations in FW/HEB, I think we are making a steady come back.

Much love for the entirety of North Texas from me, and the entire EDM Revolution crew.

Chrysalis, Mason & Crew, the visuals were UNREAL! Folks, that was serious art. The music, well it was top flight. One fellow walked up to me and commented about how mature the skills and experienced the artists were. People were dancing and feelin' it. JP really did it right though and the mad skills he has as a party promoter and organizer beat anything I ever saw.

The police did come and while they were at the gate I know a dozen cars in a convoy to the party said "horseman, pass by" and kept on driving, missing the party. They took a look around and one of them said to me that it was one of the most responsible parties he had ever seen. They left without incident and that should help with the reputation if JP decides to repeat.

Lots and lots of work went into cleaning it before and after and the people themselves worked hard as a leave no trace event. Folks camped and did not have to worry about drinking and driving home as there was ample place to stay and party past dawn. We had unlimited cold water and cool aid. The grill was hot and cookin' and the drums were bangin'. Dancers and spinners did their thing. Someone brought a bus. JP was really on the ball and there were quite a few folks, mostly without id cards, who were turned away at the gate, but JP was much more interested in having a great party than anything else. I heard someone say "that is eighty dollars driving away" and JP responded with "I don't care." If they did not have ID cards or came to JP with lies he could smell trouble and trouble he did not want.

Biggest props however, over JP and over the musicians and the folks helping Jp, go to the party guests. It was the summer of love and peace and love were in the air and the vibe was great. Everyone seemed to get along really well and had fun. Everyone pulled together. I never heard the word "PLUR" but everyone believed in the concept and lived it.

Thanks for having us JP! The warehouse looked nice and it totally had that early nineties warehouse feel to it. The wife and I were quite surprised to see that much room behind this unsuspecting place. It was nice only having to drive 5 minutes to get home. Whoever provided the art pieces, not Walter's, is pretty talented...great work. Jess and I enjoyed the event while we were there. Duty was calling early in the morning for Jess or else we would have stayed longer. Great job by all and we look forward to the next one.

I had a BLAST!
This was defenitly one of the best modern warehouse parties I have been to. I felt like I was a teen again. A defeinit blast back to the 90's vibe. I sure was glad I brought a tent. All the Djs brought it! The visuals we're awsome. Props to JP for putting this thing together. This was the most fun I have had djing in a Loooooooong time. Thanks to every one who came out to support and show love.
I can't wait to do it again.

Mad props to JP and the rest of the friends with headphones crew. The venue, deco, DJs, and all the dancers, young and old were on dead on point. Dana and myself both had a blast even though I was worried about the Fort Worth PD. We had to cut out early so we didn't see how it all worked out. It does my heart good to hear that it did get to go off all night. Ft. Worth is coming back bitches. Once again thanks JP for a top notch underground event.

Goodtimes for the little bit I was there! Sorry I had to go at 2am due to having to wk the next day. Great venue right down the street from where I live. Nice setup you guys had going on. Plus all the friggin people that were there. From the street you couldn't even tell anything was going on then you go to the back and there was like 200 cars back there! Thanks for having us out JP..

The event was a big hit, had alot of fun jammin out. tons of people, nice fire poi, good food, amazing 3d art(loved the tunnel).

Overall had a great time, cant wait til the next one, which JP let me know if ya want me to spin another set.

The one thing that had me rolling idunno if everyone saw him, but there was this one kid with a condom looking hat and he had the ol retro fitting hippie clothes. But what was funny was in the middle of the dancefloor with everyone dancing around him, hes sitting indian style, like meditating & releasing his chi. It was great, that made my night right there lol

A movement frankie bones created when he was playing decades ago at a party called energy in the UK August 26th 1989, in fact frankie was the 1st american dj to play at these UK massive raves. A fight broke out and frankie stopped the music stood on the speaker and said "If you don't start showing some peace, love, and unity, I'll break your fucking faces"."

From there the movement spread around the world and the event was so historical since it broke 25,000 (only 5000 were expected) but with bones breaking beats the fans followed. The event and details spread and eventually the word respect was thrown in to finalize PLUR. So when you hear that word think of frankie bones back in august 26th 1989. Thats where it started.
