from the sounds of it everyone enjoyed themselves. i wasnt dogging the party or its crew at all...just saying my personal opinion. Its a shame we gotta wait all the way to November to get some Rusko....but i'll take it. Get you some Jesse Rose or some Tiga in there and we got a date!!!!

Am I missing something with bassbin twins? Did they play in another room or something? Cause richard vision was supposed to play in the same room as dan. I even kicked it with dan in the vip room and he said after the event they were all gonna hang out or something, so I must be missing something. Richard Vision knew before he arrived to the show that he was closing for ATB in the main room. So please tell me what happened because I confirmed this on the general discussion thread that they will be present and it will be a live PA.

Now, for the people who paid for VIP I bet they were very upset. when you take massives, biggest ones in America, some that DOUBLE the size of ULTRA, here are a few, edc, nocturnal, together as one's, monster massives etc all in the mothership land, even the smaller massives or boat cruises and shit.... VIP you actually get something for free, open bar, give aways, waters, red bulls etc. They usually do free beer, typically domestic on kegs, and vodka with choice of cranberry juice or red bull etc. Everytime. My suggestion if you're going to sell VIP tickets, give them something. We all paid the same price on beer and got hard liquor for $6 with maybe half a shot in it. It made no sense. Just giving some advice that works and makes people happy when they are paying more than double general admission.

Now to move on for the final which despite the above made this the sickest party.... Richard Vision who replaced uberzon vs bassbin
FUCKIN KILLED IT!!!!!!

I mean serious, I've been watching him play for nine years and I've seen him rip everytime but this time was just nutz, OUT OF CONTROL. His precise mixing and trix were straight up world class. It's funny you take a skilled dj like Humpty who aint even on the dj mag top 100 who comes in and handles business yet a guy like ATB (and yes I would bang 9pm til i come in the late nineties for sure) but lets talk about djing here. He is not a good dj, so when these polls vote for americas best dj, or dj award, or djlist, it doesnt make sense how these kiddie mixers yet big producers get classified as top rated dj's.

Bottom line if anybody is hating on that line-up I can understand ATB, but eddie couldnt do his thing from complications, there was no efx 1000 which him and zabiela are known for and the cdj's were too far apart which makes it very hard for him to scratch, so do not judge eddie for the set that night, he's been in the top 20 3 yrs straight and has bypassed producing announcing his dj skills are more important, I believe the same when you're young like us. But it was cool how he remembered me , especially since he's my inspiration, it made me feel good.

YET, RHV fucking destroyed it!! I am talking like.... shit I have never seen in dallas except the halliwell set at plush. He man handled that shit beyond wildest belief. Any DJ in dallas who's talking shit on that line up show me you can rip like that I'll support you at EVERY show, so if you're hating, we can compare clips of how you dj to what RHV pulled out of his motha fuckin ass!!!!! I dont know how many people saw him but it was intense, fuckin A, and his billie jean remix was powerful, then that shit he did with teen spirit and his dancing and flow was incredible. By far one of the best top 5 sets I have seen in my life. So stop hating the line-up, I did not expect a set like that from RHV, none of us did and we rolled like 10 deep and know whats up when it comes to a dj masterfully putting sets together with insane trix. Trix can be one thing but when you match it with insane track selection, FLAWLESS WILD MIXING, not this wait till a track plays out i.e ATB, and stage presence thats a grand slam!!! I've only seen a few djs be able to pull that off. If anyone hates on that set it's CLEARLY intent to pollute, so viewers dont listen.

Also, anyone see that guy coming out in the eye suit all crazy!?!?! That was trippy! Austin is the shit, djs arn't scared to give a set, they are nice people, it almost reminded me of a cali massive, the class of people there were real, helpful, enjoyable to talk to and clearly have a HUGE stamp in Texas when it comes to edm. Austin is the SHIT!!!

The thing is at least 6000 of the 8000 or so people there wouldn't recognize names like Rusko, Pezzner, or even Matthew Dear, DJ Fluid, Tiga, or Style of Eye. While the Future Fest and Spring Love line ups didn't appeal to old heads with especially discerning musical tastes, the freaking kids ate that shit up. And the fact that there were so many freaks running around is what made it a really good time for me. Besides I haven't seen The Upbeats or ATB before and, while niether is exactly my cup of tea, I found both highly enjoyable.

Great show. I raved my nuts off and bought some t shirts.

PS: I was working the VIP will call, and I know the single list for GA will call sorted by first name was an epic fail. The promoters are well aware and they'll definately have up to date computers in both booths next time.

Bassbin Twins vs Uberzone were bumped by ATB. Pete's (Bassbin Twins) flight was scheduled for 6 am. They were bumped to play in the room upstairs at I believe 1 am... In any case they played for hardly anyone. People finally started to catch on that they were upstairs later in their set.

I have absolutly no respect left for ATB.

Im not really gonna give a review of the party except for, Thank you Massive intent for throwing a party with such an old school feel with all the pros of the new school.

I had a real good time in Austin and hope that you guys continue to throw quality shows like this last one.

I didn't come all the way to Austin because I REALLY wanted to see any of the people on the lineup, I came to experience a party that has been missed in Texas for many years and that is called a 'Massive". These guys successfully threw one and I appreciate it to the Max!

next time, include me on the lineup

Of course what I wrote was to be misinterpreted. The party was great. Every aspect. My husband and I had a really good time at the party and in Austin in general. It was a party! Old school touch for sure. We traveled from Louisiana. I was stating some facts about ATB. The person who I quoted was obviously upset about missing Bassbin Twins vs Uberzone. Theres nothing wrong with that. Im not criticizing at all. If anything I'm criticizing ATB's shitty "I'm a rock star" attitude. Thats all.
The party itself was obviously a success. But I have to say I am entitled to have my opinion of ATB. Knowing the facts behind the BS, I lost respect. He demanded to have some of the lights either dimmed or Im pretty sure TURNED OFF because it would "take away from him". And bumped other extremely talented DJ's out of their slot. Im sorry but thats shitty. I would never book him. Nor will I ever support his shows.
