Thank you jayson!!!! At least somebody caught his set! That's the shit I like. I caught his set 315am-430am.... I was pretty impressed with his track selection. Member when he was bringing the music down, I am thinking he was in a mix and brought the track down using the filter on the color knob on the djm 800. And everyone thought he was stopping the music, then he put his arms out like wings and at that same moment the anthem to teen spirit came on and everyone was like "holy shit" his transitions were fuckin nutty. Everytime you thought the music was about to hit he kept going and then unexpectadely POW!!!! he would drop that shit. Roger Sanchez does shit like that. I really hope someone books him again soon, he moved his way into my top 5 fo sho that night. | |

lol, im pretty sure someone else on here caught his set since there were about 1200 people still standing around me while I was watching him ![]() Its just, not everyone seems to be as touched by him as you ![]() more power to you man, im glad that you enjoyed him so much...3/4 of my crew down there left during his set due to his track selection so that really states "to each their own" rave on!

That's weird... maybe they had someone else they wanted to go see than. If I see someone ripping it with with illmatic trickery and flawless mixing I'll stay for a good bit no matter what they're playing. I can go into a dnb room and see someone killing it and I would stay even though I have no passion for the genre. I am not into top forty or "club" music but when I saw jazzy jeff I stayed cause he was rippin it with mad shit. Not to mention his credentials, like inventing the transformer scratch even though some say spinbad back in philly invented but ask cash money it wasn't really a transform scratch. Jazzy Jeff flipped it and was the first to intro it and cash money was the first to name it. So hellz yeah I wanted to stay, he was rippin, even though you'd never hear those songs on my playlist or in my car heeeeelz no. And he also invented the chirp scratch as well, but thats another story. But I wanted to see all these yrs of history and I was satisfied. It goes the same with any dj. I am very open minded and have seen so many closed minded people that have this theory of "if it's not completely what I like, than I don't like" I don't get that, especially if you're a musician/dj or any part involved in the scene. See I am involved in a movement like many out there, ones that appreciate any artist if passion is involved. You take one dj who's just mixing records and not interacting with the crowd like most locals here in dallas, vs an eddie halliwell jumping up on the turntables getting the crowd in shambles. See the difference? You can play to play and have that label "Oh yeah I am a dj and I play at dada sometimes and blah blah blah" and use it as an "I'm cool" thing or you can really be passionate about it like RHV was. He gave that crowd PASSION. And with that passion he gave them tricks, transitions, cuts, rewinds, tracks from the past, tracks from today and was dancing like a mo fo! I remember back in 2000 he played in a forest near ft collins, CO and he was popping while beat juggling two records. That shit was sick and then it went to his drop "shut the fuck up and dance" the crowd went off. Or take a dj like dj David back in 91 mounting a turntable on four coca cola cans and doing a one arm b boy stand on top while the jungle brothers house you track went round and round and round... Shit like that is passion. It's why he won in 1991 and still considered dmc history today. It just baffles me how some djs just mix and dont do anything, to me its like "what the fuck are you doing?" And at the same time it's like "yes, they blend in, and the passionate stand out" Thats why I get so excited and inspired when I see highly skilled djs get actively involved in what they are doing. I love passionate people, it's inspiring, motivating and just good times when you're going out, you feel connected | |

--- THR, I think you fail to see that most people find it easier to bitch about something then to praise it. I felt that RHV kept the party going very well, wasn't completely blown away, but had me dancing until he stepped down. He was one of the better DJs of the night imo. He had some really cool tracks~ that I have no IDs for.. I would see him again because of FF though. | |

which validates my explanation of being closed minded. You're at a fuckin rave and a flawless set is being thrown before your eyes on a magnificent system. What is there not to like!?!?! Go to Club Wish than in Dallas or 6th st and listen to some lil wayne. I'm sure they'll like that!

2. I have seen RHV and his track selection is not always the greatest, imo.
