ehhh it was decent good tracks but he was the most sloppy dj of all of em on that stage but even still that wasn't to bad. he was trying to do some tricks but apparently the decks were so far apart that he couldn't perform them cleanly I probably would have rearranged the setup if I were having difficulties playing my set... either way, i still liked his tunage

Ottica, if you read I wrote a pretty detailed review on eddie halliwell as he is my personal fav. The setup they arranged for him was horrible. #1 they didnt have the efx 1000 #2 they had the cdjs far apart so he couldn't do his scratching and dope mixing where he's throwing down track after track. He still had some good mixing in there but was not doing much trickery at all. He had the crowd going, apparantly he had quite a bit of fans there cause when he played in Dallas no one knew who he was. Austin knows what's up tho, they were all chanting his name like they do for him in the UK. It's not just a chant like some were chanting ATB, there is sentimental value behind the halliwell chant. All in all, he was good but I would have to give the night to RHV. He made do with the setup and was FLAWLESS. Very sick set. If you want to read more than see the many comments I made on his set. His trickery was very impressive and mixes were downright tight, tighter than a sealed pussy and he ripped that stage apart. You shoulda caught him when he played at Plush, it didnt even appear I was watching eddie halliwell on FF compared to how he threw it down in dallas, but than again, Plushes setup, how they have the tables under the cdjs and u can slide them out and the efx 1000 mount is the setup halliwell needs for his way of performing. His track selection was great though imo, he just didn't nail it like I know my halliwell can! | |

The party was bomb. It really was, awesome vibe, great music...lot's of freedom. However, since this is the review section: VIP was a joke-a total and complete joke. Unless you drink and want access to the liquor bar, there was absolutely nothing special about VIP. I mean NOTHING. I'm not upset that we spent the money, we all had a great time....but vip was certainly way over-hyped and over-priced. There was no 'plush lounge' and it wasn't a place to 'chill out' it was a place to get attention from the police that were cranky because they had to deal with drunks all night, and by place I mean the section of bleachers across from the stage. Still awesome party.....just wanted to warn anyone before they buy divas tickets, which I highly recommend doing...just not vip tickets. Anyone know anything about the 'interactive robots'? |
