| The Platinum Club (otherwise entitled: "A gay man's first venture into a strip club"
Well, a good friend of mine decided to have a birthday yesterday, so of course he had the reigns on what he wanted to do. Of all things he wanted one of two: a place to drink alcohol and play video games, or a place to drink alcohol and look at boobies. Obviously, he went for the latter. So out we go to the Platinum club. Quite honestly, I almost didn't make it in the door. I'm 25, gay, and have never been in such a place, and quite honestly had no idea what to expect. I figured we were going to be walking into a seedy (no pun intended  )joint, complete with drunken, horny, and dirty old men, parking lot fights, etc., etc.To my pleasant surprise, it was no such thing. Pretty classy (as classy as you can get with topless girls running around), a pretty cheerful crowd, and some (seemingly) nice dancers. For the most part, I focused my concentration on the beer in my hand (even long after it was empty  ) . But my friend got a little dance for his birthday, had a good time, so it was all good.All in all, not bad. Not my scene, really, but not bad. - Thomas |

especially when I'm a bit uncomfortable or feel out of place... like being the only dj at a Lesbian B-Day party in Denton...and only having "trance" records on my person... that was years ago...bad decision it was... I almost got in a fight with an unruly African-American "woman"... so I took my "ball" and went home... ...

Men's Club is the classiest one I've been in. Clubhouse bored me, and another one Merritt took me to was straight-up nasty. I don't remember the name of the place though. I haven't been to any of the others so far, and I doubt I'll be going to any more soon. Unless I decide to get an anonymous dance from Jobe's Sidekick.
