 | Decibel Festival Seattle day one. Seattle,WA(WTF...Best festival ever!!!!!!!)
This happened to be my Birthday. What a birthday. We started the day with a screening of "Dub Echoes". A very awesome Dub dcoumentary tracing Dub from early jamaica to Post Punk Dub to Ragga to Dubstep and more. We got check out Clark warner spin(Minus, beatport, Ghoslty Internatiional before and after). Very beautiful, very tasty. Kind of Eno ambient meets very tasteful techy stuff. We went to neumos for 3 generations of Dub. Local KEXP DJ Kid Hops kicked off the night. Echospace went on about 9:30 and played for an hour and a half. All analogue synths, all live. Big Mixing desk. Pure detroit Dub techno. The venue brought in 4 extra Subs for this weekends shows. You could Tell. Mad Professor came on about 11pm. No DJ set. He had what looked like adats running into a mixing desk. He would do a live dub and then toast inbetween tracks. Fucking bad ass roots shit to some neweer ragga shit to a sick massive Attack remix of Teardrop. Then came Benga. At this point I was already thinking this was the most Bass Heavy night of music I have ever heard. I had no Idea. Benga's Bass was like standing ina wind Tunnel. I have been kind of so so on some of his more recent material, but he brought the pain on this night. Freaking ridiculous. I will post Day two and some photos tomorrow. Cheers!!!!!

neumos already had a shit ton of bass, and then they added 4 more??? Nice.. Wishes I was back in Seattle..
