Lovefest

Oh man. What a weekend in San Fran, but I think that will be my last lovefest. Way too many people this year, crammed into city center, and the average age of the attendees was probably 17. Saw too many ambulances hauling off ashen-faced highschoolers strapped onto carts with their eyes rolling back into their head.

Also, couldn't dance.

The afterparty at Mighty was definitely exactly where I wanted to be that night. Slyde and Plaza de Funk killed it, and I think it was Murphstar who dropped a remix of "Ok Annie" that I'm STILL trying to find. I was standing on the dancefloor hearing the vocal coming in, and I looked at Meredith and went "Same rule applies to Michael Jackson remixes as does to long breakdowns: This shit better be GOOD."

10 seconds later I was flopping around like a muppet on speed.

AND NOW I CAN'T FIND IT.

If anyone else tries to look, I know it's not the remix by Robb G & the Phat Conductor.

Anyway, I think the Lovefest bubble has burst for me. If it's convenient to go next year, I'll just skip the daytime festival and hit the afterparties.

Oh, and mad props to the jankybarge crew for bringing some incredible breakbeats and dubstep. I love my adopted SF family.
