| Dr. Jak & GLO
the place was rammed, i heard well over 4k turned up for the show. I've been to a few other Ghostland shows, and this by far was the best. Dr. Jak opened up, and i must say for the times I've seen him open up for them, the crowd has always seemed clueless to anything he played. Not this time. I dunno if it was becasue this was Halloween or what, but standing near the stage people were just going nuts for the music. i moved to the back, and i could see the same response people dancing to a soundtrack of Boys Noize,Daft Punk,Mr. Oizo,Michael Gray,Sirrius Mo etc.. his mixing was on point, and i think he even rattled the sound system once or twice when he dropped Stardust at the end.
Usually the crowd GLO pulls doesn't really get into the dance stuff, but this dude had women in their 40's raving it up along side people in their 20's & 30's who by looking at them, prolly never have danced to music like this before. Great set, and the crowd did acknowledge the fact after Stardust finished. Glad to see him get his due, he deserved it. Reggie would have been proud, it really did feel like he was there standing next to him.
GLO came on , and commenced to beat the shit out the crowd. Piano Man, Vibrate, Sad Sad City & Strange Lover just shook the building. Awesome light show i might add as well. Clean sound all the way through, and a great closing tune as the last song. Not a bad way to spend Halloween night, there were some fine ass women in the crowd...damn!
