Who went?

I kind of regret going to the show. It was not what I expected it to be. I came in expecting a Live PA but was wildly disappointed to see that it was mostly a DJ set. Some tunes were great, but overall, it was much of a snooze event.

Very disappointed, not worth the drive especially since the show ended so early (not the fault of anyone since the venue closes early in relation to others).

Not what I expected as it focused so much on the new album and similar-sounding tracks. It was clear that while some of those tracks were really good, the crowd was MUCH more into the familiar "oldies" and "I Remember." As far as a concert goes, however, it was fantastic, the sound quality was great, and the lightshow certainly did not disappoint. Very much a good show, but I left wanting much more, and that's a desire that will be filled next week at Klaas.

Yeah a lot. There were a lot of younger looking peeps though.

So the guy is touring for a new album, and you expect him NOT to play the new stuff? Any concert/event I've been to where an artist is touring for a recent album release, they are gonna play stuff off it to promote it.

Anyways, I was out there passing out flyers for the MANDY show, and got to peep my head in for a minute. Twas a packed lil rave in there at the HOB. LEDs were Siiiick! Tons of hot young babes there too.

So at about midnight this raver comes out rolling his face off. Dude can hardly stand up. Some security guard tells him he might wanna sit down, and right as he said that BAM!!! Dude faceplants on the concrete. Broke his nose, and his face was all fucked up. Paramedics came and took him away. I overheard someone say, "You took too much man. Too much, too much." Am I going to hell because I laughed?

no shit, it's about fucking time he played something new if you ask me.

if you wanna hear pretty much the same 15-20 songs he's been playing since 2007 just go download almost any recent mix of his from any radio show or anywhere around the world.

as for the set, it is what it is. i came expecting to hear what i heard...the crowd was in a very festive mood and was more than receptive to it. I haven't seen good vibes in dallas in a long time. It was good to see a wide range in ages, not too young at all. Having to leave at 12:30am though, was a bummer. the HOB venue/stage would be a great fit for more electronic shows if could only stay open till 2am or even 1:30.

can't wait for Meltdown in 2 weeks, then Mega Buzz!
