![]() | Danny Howells put on a clinic...
Un fucking real..........Danny Howells is definitely a master at his art. Everyone that was there came out baffled. Truly amazing from start to finish. A night that will not be forgotten....the slickest variety of music, dope as tracks in all kinds of flavors: House/prog/funk/breaks/techno/reggea/driving/techy/dark/brite/ deep/vocals........................and every single track had soul. Thats DH for ya. Maybe the best set I have heard in Dallas all year. thanks to everyone involved with putting this night together. peace, doug d ps...darren d warmed up the night beautifully with his blend of funky house and slick, sexy progressive.... ALSO....we get to do it all again on NOV 27th when Trendroid comes to Seven.

All I have to say is if you missed it, you missed out on the best set to ever be played at Seven. When I originally wrote this I was too tired to go further. But thank you to Darren D. for a great set, perfect intro. And to Miniya snf everyone else who made it out last night. I promise to keep pushing the envelope for you guys and trying to have more nights like last night. Next week Seven is back to normal, so I hope to see all of you out! I had a great time last night, Thank You! Last edited by jaybird; 11-02-02 at 07:57 PM. |

I tell you, the last 30 minutes of that set were pure fucking gold. Danny playing the Eminem sample. Danny faking out the crowd thinking its over, even getting shouts of 'encore'. Danny playing Ghandi Khan, which has the single worst rap of all time over the track(yet this version was actually very nice musically). And, of course, finishing with Bob Marley. I'm really glad I kept pushing for last night. Had a horrible night before Howells. Went back to Duncanville to pick up a friend that wanted to come up to see Howells. When I got to his place, I locked both my shoes and my keys inside my car. So, here I am, no way to get in my car, wearing flip flops with socks. Grandparents are in Fort Worth until 2AM, and they have my only extra key. Eventually, I convince my mom to loan me her car for the evening, I take off to Howells in my flip flops, and all is better. My grandparents left my extra key out in their mailbox. Drop my mom's car back at her house, catch a ride to my car, and finally I'm home. And now, to crash for 30 hours |

![]() | Amazed...
We just got in and settled down after the 3+ hour drive back from D-town. It was everything I was expecting and then some...after seeing him in Houston last month I knew I could not miss him again...I AM GLAD I DIDN'T!! Once again he amazes me and leaves me grasping for my mind and breath. Next stop, LA, NYE <--Danny Howells, Giant Style Want something fun to do for New Years? Get a group together and party in LA...total madness I kid you not. Airfare is dirt cheap and you can snag a hotel for <$60. + Howells will be there. NYE sets are usually nothing short of phenomenal. Thank You Seven and to all those who made this happen, Great Job!! ~J |
