 | the WORST mixing EVER, EVER, EVER
now i'm not one to just blatantly hate.. but since i stayed home from meltdown, me and my friend just chilled and drank and spun.. so i heard about perry ferrel from janes addiction being a dj now.. under the name peretz or whatever, so i was like hey he spins progressive, oh shit, lets listen.. i've listened from the BEGINNING, its more than half over now.. and this is the WORST mixing i've EVER heard.. no local i've ever seen has come close to being HALF this bad.. he has TRAINWRECKED every fucking mix so far.. not just a sloppy mix, i mean TRAINWRECKED. he has dropped some dope tracks but everything is just ALL out of wack.. if you happen to be reading this turn to 102.1 to catch him in action. man i dont understand with all the people in the world the lizard lounge would book someone who couldn't beatmatch to save their life. i'm just in shock right now. man WTF.

LOL... i know, when we heard his first mix we BUSTED out laughing that it was off so bad.. i mean he doesn't even FIX most of them he just lets them clash.. we're sitting here yelling.. speed it up perry damn. i almost feel sorry for him.

ok... i guess he figured out that he's on the radio and he cant mix so somehow he changed it over to dnb.. and its like he's just hitting the crossfader and bringing the other one in at a convenient time then just PULLING the other one completely out. the mix i just listened to wasn't even fucking 16 beats. but i guess cheating a mix is a whole lot better than what he was doing earlier. now he's throwin out dnb. i can only imagine what he's thinking

well it looks like he's completely given up on mixing.. smart move i guess.. now he's just bringing them into breakdowns. i feel really bad that he has to be up there... oh well.

yeah. Shaun Slaughter & I paid a visit to Merritt at the Lizard Lounge for a brief bit (prob 10 minutes, a lil after 2AM not to mention listening for a little bit on the radio) & the only thing i could see going his way was his vocals over some of the tracks he played... the tracks that I heard for the brief time were pretty dope... but as for - whoa wait a second - *goes & gets SHOES out of DRYER* ok im back!! what was I saying?? ok... I know we've all been in that stage where we think we got the concept of beatmatching, but knowing we wouldn't go out in public w/ the little experience that we have!! Why he would think that he can do that?? b/c he's Perry Farrell... (not to make him seem like he's all about himself, actually, I heard he's a really coooooool, down to earth guy!!!!) hhhmmmm... hopefully w/ ALOT of practice, he'll get it!! It was the same thing w/ Boy George (for those that don't know, he's been spinning for some years now), I heard he was terrible a while back, but now I hear his spinning skills are ALOT BETTER!!!! well, I hope Perry does get better b/c he has some pretty neat track selections!! (from what I heard in there & on the radio!!)

LOL.. this cracks me up. The people in Austin had nothing nice to say about his "set" when he was here either.. I didn't even bother.. I was actually kind of confused why everyone was going to see Perry Farrel at a club known for dance music until I realized he attempts to DJ now. Oh well.. peace |

HAHA! yea-- oh well... it was still fun. of all the superstars that i've met, he is BY FAR THE COOLEST! really a nice guy! I hope you guys caught Terry Mullan's wickid set b4 Perry's! fucking dope! oh yea-- you guys wanted some cool dark shit- Alex Graham went back on after Perry (off the air) fucking dope and flawless set.
