really enjoyed kicking it at the Hooka inbetween the Benifit.

I always enjoy the atmosphere in there, but with Logic Theorists and Navin ripping up the down tempo kick......... it was a whole new party.

Good hanging uot with my boy Mist, and great seeing Taki. Nice to meet you Sara P .... i'd have to say that your draves name fits you very well

Last night was the first time I'd been there on a Tuesday, though. Navin and the Logic Theorist were throwing down some eclectic selections. Made for intersting listening... sometimes jazzy, sometimes dubby, sometimes straight-up trip-hoppy.

Somehow I missed Taki. But then, I missed him at Ascend, too. (Ehem - know what I mean, Joey?

) I still have yet to thank him for the dope Son Kite remixes.....

We'll have to do it again sometime.

I was tied up with other engagements throughout the night, but I did finally manage to drop in the place for the first time.
Very chill. And kind of a kiss to the back of the mind when I breezed by a second time, at the end of the night, and heard Mezzanine being played...

I try to drop tracks off that album often, but they're so chill they're hard to mix in proper.

Anyway, thanks again to all that came by. What I really love about playing at the Hookah (well one thing I love out of like 800 I could list) is they attract a crowd that is diverse. I get to meet new people every night, and play for people who's priorities on a night out are different than what I've been expected to pander to. And this quality of people makes the vibe -amazing- ..everything I've ever looked for in an experience.

If you haven't been and can appreciate the difference, don't miss it.
