My list: Shadow. Amon Tobin @ Trees. Craze @ Red Jacket. Adam Freeland @ Zen. Mix Master Mike @ Bronco Bowl. Every Covert Ops show. I'd include Simply Jeff's second visit along with Q-bert, but they were at the Lizard Lounge. And I know there were many that I missed out on. They probably would have been Blackalicious, Uberzone, Teebee and Tool... | |

Best show I saw this year was my birthday party at Village with DJ's Adrian Braun, Wes Lee, Aqualight, Rob Vaughan, Kid Icarus, & Redeye. All locals & all played so great!!

Delta Heavy Howells @ Seven Parks & Wilson @ Seven Jody @ Orchid I fucking missed Fortier & Steve Porter, so I can't really put those in the list. And of course every time I get to hear my favorite locals work their magic (You punkasses know who you are!) it makes my night. As far as this coming year goes, I'd really like to see some of this great local talent blossom even further and start making even bigger waves in our end of the pond. I want to see the quality nights with locals grow even stronger, and I want to hear even more quality tracks from our local producers when I'm out. I'd also like to see more people at events because of the music and not because of the drink specials or whatever. I dunno. I'd really like to see this town do some growing up and have a crowd that is in it for other reasons than to get plastered. We've been on the map now for quite sometime. I'd like to see our reputation become even more respectable than it is. Ah well. Kids will be kids I suppose. And having Deep Dish (together), Digweed (by himself), Nick Warren, Lee Burridge and Craig Richards, Anthony Pappa, JVM (by himself), and Chris Fortier blow through here would be nice. Bigger. Better. That's what I want. M |
