![]() | Mystic Journey *~A Positive Review~*
*disclaimer* = only POSITIVE reviews in this thread...thank you and drive though Well last night was ALOT of fun! I was runnin' around takin pics of all the djs until my fingers froze around 3:30 am and we had to go The party had a very good vibe, very shiny, happy people just looking for a good time, they all put me in a really good mood, endless amounts of smiling faces and people just starting up random conversations about this dj or that dj or about how cold it was, its what a good party is all about The house tent setup was EXCELLENT! Sorrie bout teh djs spinnin without a monitor but you all did BAD ASS jobs without, especially Chai and ummm I forgot who spun before her but yah girl YOU KICKED SUM MAJOR ASS UP THERE! Matt Morrow, The Disco Agents and Josh the Funky 1....I said GOD DAMN! They had me groove for a very long while there! Man, I told Brandon, "ya can't get this kinda funk in Dallas!" which I guess is ironic since they are local I think lol I tried finding where Aqualight was spinning, I was runnin around crazy for about 30 mins and finally gave up, guess I'll have to go to the Village on wed. night and check him out ![]() Jeremy's and Simple Jeff's sets were AMAZING! Very nice vibe, groovin towards the back of that tent but DAMN that cold weather! lol The Eastcoast Boogie Men back to back with 4 Peace & Tim Funatik is a fuckin LETHAL combination! I kept tryin to walk away and they'd drop another funky track and Id have to dance for another 5 minutes! runnin' around and tryin to catch everyone's sets was exhausting! but total fun none the less To all the Draves massiv' I saw out and about last night, great seeing everyone but theres too many of you to mention and I dont wanna leave anyone out but you know who you are =) Anywho, Im going back to bed cause reading back over this review, Im surprizing myself at how cheerful I am off of only 4 hours of sleep anywho, thats all... -Karlos Stay HOUSE! |

the party was great, had some confusion at the beginning with people telling me cradlerock had already spun and i wasnt to happy. well after lots of hard work and investigation i found the tent just in time. Cradlerock went off. Like always. had people moving like no other. I luvsyou. you are always nothing less than amazing. my night was complete. it was cold, enojoyed tha partay went home, hung out, and it was yet another success party story under the wraps. I had a great time I'm feeling the after effects of the party but hey I really can't complain. I didn't get messed with by security or the cops. Everyone I saw actually had a smile on their faces especially the sober people. haha One of the security guys had showed me that there was frost on the ground at like 2:00am. So my guess is the party must had ended at 5am. These parties are always like family reunions I saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in like forever. My only complaint was someone didn't put something on the ground to dance on.

I had a great time!! It was my girlfriends first party, and she -loved- it... I have never seen her so happy. Best thing is now she understands why I consider places like that my home, if only for a night. I met so many new people... and saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in forever. It was soooo cold but I had my gf to cuddle up to all night, and we brought a tent and a lot of blankets and pillows so it turned out okay. I know there were some problems, but I have nothing but respect for the people that put this together, there is no point in having negative thoughts! Simply Jeff was great as always, as was Kid Icarus... but I'd have to say that the dj that made my night was Cradlerock!! He never disappoints me, and I got to show my friend and girl why I love his music so much. *bows down to pete* I can't wait for the next party... |

we drive WAY the hell out from Duncanville to McKinney, roll up to the party, and the popo asks for our IDs. All good, except our homie in the back didnt bring his. Damn. So we decide to split up, the Ride will take our friend back to Duncanville (a cool guy, the Ride), and we'll deal with it. As we trek to the party . . . INSPIRATION! Our IDless friend is only four foot eight! We call up the Ride and tell him to put that fool in the trunk. Problem Solved. Like i said elsewhere, this was a bad ass party, all organizational issues aside. At least it HAPPENED, and at least it wasnt COMMERCIALIZED BULLSHIT. The spirit is what counts, and if you adhere to the spirit, the logistical problems tend to lose value in terms of the overall enjoyment factor. I met a lot of cool people, got to listen to some badass sets, supported my homies as they threw it down well into the early morning sunlight (an absolutely gorgeous sunrise, by the way, which made the entire frigidity of the night seem irrelevant), and had a good time. Maybe you met me? I was chillin with a short Arab refugee and a chickee rave ninja for most of the evening . . . and a couple of nondescript white dudes, but what does that tell you? Props to everyone who showed up and everyone who supports the SPIRIT of the scene . . . keep on striving, Perfect Universe . . . if you got the spirit, you are all bound to be rich as fuck . . . eventually ->Russia |
