Amazing. All night was a variety of house genres and you never new what was coming next. From new tracks to old tracks, for the most part, if you were not dancing you were the only one. The funny thing is, the after hours crowd that came in made anybody that thinks they are a raver, party kid, or whatever you catergorize yourself, they made the "rave" culture here in Dallas look like a bunch of little panzy wonna-be shoe salesmen. For those that missed this, sucks to be you.

It was really awesome to see the "USUAL" suspects at SEVEN once agin. That was actually my first time to ever see Pete so yeah, I get to mark another DJ off my to see list. Pete Heller started out strong and had people bringing the roof down. He started to go a bit dark between 1-2 and I wasnt really sure if he was going to stay there or not for the rest of the night, but sure enough around 3AM I knew where he was working up to. The last hour was absolutely amazing. JAY< I think we are going to have to repair the floor around the DJ booth cause I was cutting a rug up in that camp. Anyway, great night, good peoples, banging tunes and to top everything off the room had a nice flow to it.Almost forgot about our opening act. Congratulations on a job well done Blame. Seemed like the youngun's made a show of force last night, good for the new blood and whatnot. I have to say, for all the hype I heard about Pete Heller dropping every kind of house, all I heard was progressive house. It varied from deep to dark, etc, etc... but at some point in the night I realized I hadn't heard any funky, chunky, discoey, minimal, techy, tribal, or sunrise house. I'm not saying he didn't play well by any means. I'm just saying a lot of his track selection I had heard before, and most of it was progressive as progressive gets. One other thing, the AC being jacked up and the no in-and-out's for those that got in before 11 made for the most ancy prancy goose bumpy drinking session I had ever endured for the sake of ignoring the cold. -Sean

I think some of you are so stuck in the "Seven is always progressive" you fail to realize a different genre of house. Pete started with progressive but he was also coming into Fernie's set. In other words, he kept the music flowing slowly moving the sound. He went from prog to deep to funky to prog to tech to hard to etc (you get the picture). Then again, it would take sitting through an entire set or party know what you are talking about.
