ok yea so i dont really know why i went to this, i just wanted to get out for a change. Yea so first off we had to fight are way through this bar full of Hardcore metal freaks, which wasnt too bad since i could fit in with them just as well, so we finally figure out how to get out back and I can tell imediatly that this wasnt going to be a good night, it was like one big sand pit from the volleyball courts, and the main stage was kind of behind the side stage. So the whole staging problem wasnt a problem at first, but every dj that came on the main stage decided they had to turn the volume up a little, so by about midnight, it was just one big train wreck, especially since the only decent stuff being played was on the second stage... and i was gettin kinda tired of seein a bunch of abercrombie guys and rave hoes running around oh yea and one more thing, remember to mention next time that your party is in carrolton, coulda saved me half and hour and half a tank of gas, i dont think ill be going to Empire 1.5699473932- or whatever |

No shit dude. That was the most horrible thing I've ever been to in my life, it was like some sort of sick joke or something. And I hear you on the directions, i drove around for an hour and a half trying to find the thing. fuck off to everyone who promoted this thing.

Broken at crave was over at 2, these parties wernt really competing. The biggest problem I had with this party was not enough people showing up. There were about 150 people and then around 2 when more people should of been showing up, everyone was leaving. I didnt have problems with directions based on the fact that I knew where lonestar was from many parties prior. I agree the main stage was super loud compared to the side stage but the side stage was having repeated sound issues all through out the night. As to the side stage being better than the main stage that depends on if you prefer D&B as what was on the side stage. There was some bleeding between the stages so there was an area in between stages to be avoided. I will say that I walked way out behind the parking lot behind those massive piles of dirt and the music from the main stage was still SUPER loud, as in it was probably enough sound for 10-20 thousand people to gather around and hear. I thought the sound system being incredibly loud was a plus not a minus. The night was nice out, not bad for the outdoor venue. The bar did have some heavy metal but the mixed drinks were on time, bartender was not greedy. So I think the side stage sound problems throughout the night was unfair to all the D&B'ers and the lack of support from the local community drawing only 150 people are the only things I found lacking in this party. All you people blasting the promoter must not be anyone who has ever thrown a party before. WillFrayer, I'm not sure where your source on Africa came from, perhaps Jinxy can clue us in on what happened here. -s |

![]() | FYI:
Wow. Lots of negative stuff here. I went and had fun. Lots of people were there having fun. Those guys threw a makeup party after a rainout and put shitloads of people on the guest list. Pretty much anybody that called or wrote got in free. Darren wrote a post HIMSELF on the boards LAST WEEK apologizing for not being able to make it due to some injuries. As far as not being able to find the place..... I'll say this for some of you who may not already know- the world is a big, dark, scary place. most adults are able to discern how to get to a location when given a physical address and turn by turn directions. resourceful (read that smart) individuals will even look on a "map" for a useful picture that represents how to get to a place and where it is in relation to where you are. On a final note, to the haters. I'm not part of the crew that threw this, but I do know them. From all your "fuck off to the promoters" and "that thing was the most horrible aaaaaggggh" and so forth , you always change your story when you meet the actual person. I've seen the same chickenshit scene again and again. "Oh, whatsisname sucks and if I ever see him, I'm gonna call him out like a bitch" Next week, 2 seconds after being formally introduced to whatsisname "hey what's up dog? it's nice to meet you. i've been to some of your parties. yeah" happy monday |

Just want to say to all.......that i posted just after 8:30 sat evening as i was trying to make it but was very unsure of my injury still. Jinxy and Jester did not know that i wasnt to make it but did know of my injuries and worries....they worked really hard on that event and it is unfortunate that things can end up different on the night. Props to them for taking a chance with a big party during the Dallas "recession" !!! |

All I have to say is ill go anywhere that will let me sit in some sand with pitcher of good beer and listen to good music. I had a great time. I have yet to have a truely bad experience @ lonestar: sand good, beer good, music good, me good.

Of course I didn't make it out there until 3:30 due to a drinking accident early that day. Yeah, the bleed between the stages was crappy, but Jinxy told me they had to set it up that way to keep people from sneaking in with beer. The main stage sound was great, and I dug the shit out of Scan, Scy, and Fabian Bates' sets. The weather was perfect! My only REAL complaint is that all the "rave hoes" were gone by the time I got there. Well there were two left, but they soon split for Fallout. I like rave hoes. Especially the ones with glitter and glow sticks. We need more rave hoes in this scene. Thanks Jason for inviting me out! Peace, | |

Well we showed up at like 3:30 we played from 4-5 they said that there was about 250 people there up till about 2:30. I guess they headed off to Fallout. All I know is I really enjoyed playing for the people that were there. I really hope they enjoyed it as much as I did. Later Sean

just for the record i wasnt trying to really be hateful, just kinda critical... if everyone comes out and says "man this party was the bomb big ups the to promoters and shit" then they aint ganna change a damn thing, if you can hear the sound 10 blocks away and your second stage is 10 feet away, than control the damn sound... i mean i really was enjoy the chunes, its just i felt kinda outa place after a while, maybe thats cuz i dont get out anymore and i didnt really know anyone there, maybe i should have waited about 3 more hours for chris to show up but anywho, im sure you guys but mad amounts of effort into this party, ill give you props for that it isnt easy puttin shit together and than gettin peeps to come out. oh and as far as the directions go, lets see, beltline probably runs through ever city in the greater dallas area, and than when i think the trinity river i think the trinity river that runs practicly through downtown dallas, and when the directions start from downtown than call me old fasioned but i assume that that is the general area... i guess i was wrong but to the promoters jinxy and you guys, you did a good job of bringing everything together... just work on your follow through a lil bit, i might not be and your next few parties... but it doesnt mean im ganna completley give up on ya |
