| "step" a GBP masquerade,.....06.21.03 @ the ruby room
Well, it was once again an event that words will not do justice for. So good to see the GBP back in action, and picking up where we last left off!!!! The place: A transformation had definitely taken place, felt like we were under a tent again!! Aww, the colors!!! The music: 10-11 myself. I plad chill tunes, mixed rather simple style, just to set a tone and lay out a canvass 11-12 Blair Brown. Takin it back from old classics to pumpin chops, definitely lifetd the room. 12-1 Monarch, a beautiful, melodic yet thumpin' set, a pleasure sir, thank you. 1-2 ROBERT TAYLOR. Ok, of course the fool is a bad ass, we know this after almost 2 decades on tha decks,... BUT DAYUMM!!!!! He tore that shit up like a tru 'seasoned' pro, a 'quentissential dj' (sp?) , a "dj's DJ". Magical movements of the moment through a musical message,.....bliss. The people: Y'all showed up in FULL FORCE for this one!!!! You danced, drank, laughed, smiled,......you played the game, and won!!!!!!! Good to see the joy around, glad to be a part. Amy, Seth, Mustafa we are so blessed, thanks for letting me experience this with you 3, i love you. GBP 2nd class, good to see ya troopers!!!!! all thanks, all love, j. ps. lastnight was a great night!!! I had a blast, the music was dope, as were the suspects.

thank you john!!! I had a great time!!! very sad I missed Blair...however to hear and see Mr. Taylor throw'in it down proper was totally awesome!! Aside from some shlong-sucker who stole the mask I worked very hard to make the night was amazing. Thanks again!  p.s....MIss Mandy is sooooooooooooooooooo fired for not being there!!!

Definately had a BLAST!!!! It's been a while since I've been in a room full of people like that at Ruby Room...such great energy - good times, good times. I'm a bit puzzled on who kept smackin' my ass that night though....grrr....sucka gonna get a face full of elbow next time...moohhaaa.... Definately had my dancing shoes on that night. Got my Jane Fonda on that night...work it! Thank you to all da boys for playing da house music - oh yeah baby. Oh shit Blair!! throwing down some Joskei (sp)...I was listening to that shit in my car on the way to Ruby Room. hell yeah!!! Amy, Sean, John and Seth - THANK YOU for another badass party - another memory to mark the book!!! Give Jerrod hell for not coming - what a sucka! And if any of you missed this one, shame on you. |

Woah ho ho ho ho..... that was a freaking blast. thanks to EVERYONE who came out.... It's still early on monday, so I'll put in my 2 cents in a bit. but, I know some of you have pictures (karen/caryn(sp?)), post em!!!!!!! >>seth

| just wanted to jump on here and say thanks. it was a great time and the vibe was great. unfortunately it has been awhile since i have checked or looked at these boards. so i was pleasantly surprised when a friend told me of this event. ohh, and there was the "one word girl" with a digi cam.(name given for grab'n my friends journal and having people write a single word in it. good stuff) i hope that she hooks us up really soon with the pictures. thanks for all the fun and good times  |
