Can't believe i"m the first one to get on here and post about this ... I had a damn good time last night. So many dope classics being dropped all night long. Great vibe up in there. Funk W proved once again that he is a pure bad ass behind the decks. Karl did a great job for not having touched the tables in 4 years. Manny rocked it, Merrit rocked it, Rob rocked it ...

AWESOME! i think that most appropriately describes last night. great seeing everybody out indeed. once again, happy bday wishes to tha' man, Merritt. spectecular sets from all, though i especially enjoyed West's. did anyone else notice how fast he was going through rekkirds at the beginning of that set. plus he looked like he had been waiting to play this party for 5 years. REALLY INTENSE. then there was baby g in the side room. definitely DOPE!

Main Room:
The main room was just to' up from the flo' up all night long. All the DJ's were great!!! The party was so much fun. Manndogg started out the night a little housey, great tunes, I wasn't able to be there early, so I heard part of his set on the air. I do believe the gals I rode with up there, probably think I'm a little cookey, I couldn't quit whooping and hollering, he properly set the mood for a great evening.

Merritt's set was fun fun fun, by that time he had the entire crowd infront of the booth, no longer stopping between songs to talk....they were just dancing fools. The rest of the room was responding well too...I didn't realize how well, until I looked up stairs and the people who usually just sit and chill were all on their feet.

Young Karl Faught went on after Merritt, I guess it's like riding a bike, you don't forget how....I wasn't expecting him to do that well! Many people didn't believe he was really even there. It was great....all was right in the world....untilllll.....Funk W went on.

Last night was everything I thought it was going to be and more. It was however "just another badass party" until Funk W hit the decks, then it became a mf'n experience. (Dear God, Please let me experience that again soon.) If you weren't watching his hands during his set, you missed at LEAST 1/2 of his mixes. I don't care how experienced your "ear" is, you missed a lot of his mixes, he is THAT flawless, THAT flavorful, THAT intense, THAT proficient. He's a badass, period. Thank you Funk W, it was a great experience.

Roof top deck::: Andy Szontagh....HOLY COW....I was taken aback, with a quickness. Damn that boy can mix, he was playing some impressive house up there, and having a great time doing it too. I'm not really an Andy Fan, but whew, Go Andy! No frills, just good music....it was fun.

Video Bar.....whoah.
"The more you dance the more I rap, the big fat beat makes your toes tap." If you've ever been to a house party where there was no world beyond the outside doors, where everyone inside literally could not have cared if the roof had infact been on fire, because all they wanted to do was dance, this was the Video Bar when Baby G hit the decks. It was insaine. The entire ROOM was packed wall to wall until 2:30 when the crowd lightened up a little....EVERYONE was dancing, feeling the vibe, feeding off the energy the DJ provided everytime the he effortlessly waved his hand across the mixer or his hands glided over a piece of wax. Brilliant. The entire room, singing along, waiving their hands in the air, shouting, inhaling the the vibe and holding it in, as though it was the best weed they've ever smoked....damn. One hell of a good time. If Baby G comes back to the Lounge. Do yourself a favor....go, have fun.

DJ Love, opened up the night in the Video bar and closed it down with finesse. Seasoned, Professional DJ's held this night down at the Lizard Lounge.

sorry i didnt get to see manny,or merrit...

but damn...got to see funk w....and damn....f-in rocked it...someone told me that peps used to fight over your tapes at the resurection lounge (i think that was it),and damn i can see why....omg...you were funking dope...

then rob came on...now remeber i am a young buck here, but i remeber just turning 18 and going out to the spy club and movin all night long to mr vaughn...all i have to say is damn seeing him behind the decks last night made me get that feeling that he gave me when i first started listeng to dance music with him funkin it up...

the damn video bar was a damn fire hazard...packed all damn night...baby g and love were dope...i couldnt stop moving...damn

andy...damn man...i remeber when my sis was in school and talking about you back when you were playing house, at house parties and stuff....now i can see why they all used to talk about you cause you did rock it man...no doubt....

alll in all..damn a good night for the lounge...I hope that it happens again sometime soon cause i did get schoold...

Okay, at the last old school party, I must say the set of the night went to FUNK W, Last night there were TWO.....This old school party, the honors went to YOUNG KARL FOUGHT, and for those who listened on the radio, He rocks, even after not touching a turntable for about 4 years.....The other set is some something y'all couldn't hear...Mr BABY G, rocked the video bar for 2 and half hours....if you didn't make it out....You missed an experience......

God just tuning in to Edgeclub I was spoiled!!! That was one hell of a night of INCREDIBLE MUSIC!!! Great Job to every single damn person that played that night. I was never disappointed for one second. If I had the money and the time you would've seen me having a damn good time at the lizard lounge. Happy birthday Merritt!!

this party was the most fun I have had djying in a long time. . I got to play an hour 1/2 worth of my all time favorite records from 89 to 96. thanks to everyone for the positive feedback on my set and thanks to everyone who came out to support.
