Liquid Mix Tour w/ N.E.R.d.

What a let down.

I got there w/ high hopes. There was an extremely small crowd (as i had expected) yet i thought a somewhat smaller-more-intimate setting would be in play. I got there a little late. I missed Talib Kweli ( ) The Roots kicked ass...and i was getting into the evening as it was raining and there was a nice cool breeze. After sitting through O.A.R. I was ready for N.E.R.d. to come out and set it off.

One thing. Instead of Pharrell coming out on stage and starting things off...we were all greeted by him on his cell phone...on board a delayed flight sitting at DFW. He wasnt going to make it...but we were all invited to go see them perform at Minc for a free show.

I would have gone but i didnt really have the funds to sit around in a bar environment. All in all I was pretty let down for the evening...had i originally known he wasnt even at the venue...i would have just left after The Roots and waited to go to Minc later on.

Oh well, im glad i had free tickets.

It was nice seeing Karlos, Phooka, and the ever-sexy-Sarah though!

na i totally understand, that shiet happens. but whateva, ten bucks was nothing. just had to sit through that christian sound band Of A Revolution. they played like their whole album and some more, and now i know why. but respects to them, they must feel shiet. PLus, 5,00 peeps are not gonnah fit inside MINC!! and even if they did it was 21 plus. and another thing, roots are playin there to ngiht and i know ?uestlove will not give his slot to them, beuacse he is promoting his album. One last night, Roots do a badass job when in a small venue anways, and tahts what they know and are know for. but respects, hope it works out next time, which im sure it will. NEPTUNES owe DAllas!!!

Battletech was sick (Realtime threw it down!. .but i'm sure we lost some people to them over there.

All i got to see was the Roots but they blasted it anyways!

fuck you guys, i thought O.A.R. was sick. i had never heard them before and i thought they rocked it. but hey, maybe thats not your bag....

the Roots were dope, as per usual, anad Kweli rocked it proper.

Robert Randolph was dope.

i finally saw Slightly Stoopid live and yes, it sounds like Bradley Nowell's ghost is speaking through their lead singer. DOPE AS FUCK IS ALL I CAN SAY.

i didnt really care to see N.E.R.D. anyway, so wah.

I have never heard of OAR, but I kinda liked their style...they had this rock/reggae/Dave Matthews thing going...it was cool...

...and the roots tore it up as usual!!! The drum solo was soooooooo fucking dope!!!

i had never heard of them before and i was kinda BLAH to them going on. but then as i listened, i heard something i really enjoyed.

they were Dave matthews with a reggae vibe/message. i was rocking the fuck out. i still have one of their songs stuck in my head.

That song was bad ass...there were a few tracks a little too much on the cheese side for me, but everyone knows how much I love reggae so I was totally diggin' the revolution song...I think I am actually going to buy their cd...
