The big money guests of the Dallas Symphony’s Gala concert and dinner were treated to a healthy dose of club culture tonight when the Phono Freaks played the after concert party. A few years ago, the thought of the DSO using turntables or recorded music of any kind would have been beyond the pale, but tonight some of the richest and most powerful people in Dallas were shaking their booty to real house music. Even maestro Litton was in the house. This is such a step in the right direction for the DSO, and I know they will have to do this type of thing next year because the usual dry “live” band they have had never got the room moving like these guys did. WELL DONE!
