9-6-03: Around Dallas in 8 hours...

Ok, I have to say... PROMOTING ROCKS!

Seriously! I got to see all of Dallas last night... all the cool people... AND I had a blast!

Thanks to my trusty side-kick Lights! Really man, thanks for hanging hardcore with me last night!


Started the night by cruising into Seven to drop off some "Call Laura Miller" cards... good to see you Jay!

Went to the Lizard Lounge next... hit some cars with some flyers... and then off to...

Trees for John B! Great crowd... and yes... he DOES spin trancy DnB.... there is such a thing. Bounced around there for a bit... then...

Back to the Lizard Lounge to catch some of Richard Humpty Vision... good times were being had! Got to chill with all the cool DJ's in the booth... and then out front to promote again...

From there... Fallout! Got to Fallout to catch the tail end of Mixmind and Jeremy L.'s set... yea! I was screaming for more! Then Kid Icarus hit the decks... the crowd was really into it... and I danced the whole time! After that....

It was off to Heaven! Woah! What a crowd! Trent, Jayson Gold and Rx were all on the decks... they were banging it out hard... and the crowd was digging it! I tried to dance... but damn... I was just happy to finally sit down!

Hung there until I started to *yawn* and my tummy started to *growl*... then me and my trusty-side-kick decided it was time to watch the sunrise and drive home.


Hightlights of the night:

~ Getting to meet some new people from the board! I won't list names... for fear I will leave someone out!

~ Seeing all the awesome people who are in this scene week in and week out... who MAKE the scene... the people who have been here and will be here for years to come.

~ Drinking 3 Smirnoff Ice... and getting quite a buzz... I am such a cheap date! Thank god for my trusty-side-kick... "No, you are not driving, I am afraid to let you drive me!"... hee-hee... I handed the keys right over.

~ Thinking that we all need to get over the genre bullshit... and realize that we are ALL family... and if we go out... see each other... and hang together... we end up having a great time! It's not about genres... it's about the MUSIC... and good MUSIC from talented artists. Last night I jammed to House, DnB, and Trance... and my night was great!

~ Coming home and calling Adam Sheridan... waking him up in jolly-'ol-England... damn he is SO EXCITED about coming to Dallas! And I told him... "We may not have a huge crowd... but we are going to bring you a GOOD crowd.. who brings a tight vibe!".

~ Getting to hang with Jason/Lights... we have never really hung out before one-on-one for a long period of time ... so thanks man for coming along. It was FUN! Now, I need a new side-kick for next weekend... I wear the poor boys out... and he won't come with me again! Hee-hee!

Well, let's be honest here... I am not always 100% positive. It's a family personality trait I have an inner struggle with.

I bitch... I moan... I complain... and I tend to piss people off on these boards!

If you want positive... talk to Jeremy Word... damn... that boy is perfect... I swear. I can only hope to be half the person he is someday.

I had to spin at Pharmacy all night. I got out of there at around 3. Barely made back to the Lounge to have chat with Humpty Vission and Gina. Almost went to Fallout but I knew I was onely gonna have more drinks if I went there( I had to drive).
