First of all, let me say that this review is NO REFLECTION on Bunny as her DJs tonight rocked the house. Instead, it is a review of the shitty evening I had tonight as a result of the poorly-staffed Lizard Lounge.

I have been to the Lizard Lounge once before. It sucked. Someone told me that I originally went on a bad night so I was willing to to give it another shot and show some love for our dear Bunny.

Big mistake.

Technoboy and I arrived around 12:30 and were damned excited to hear the great DJ lineup. We boogied our way in and I noticed that Technoboy was being held up at the door. When he finally came inside, his arms were folded across his chest and a scowl crossed his face.

"What's wrong", I asked? He refused to speak for like five minutes. Then, he explained that the stupid-ass door man almost didn't let him in because he couldn't fucking figure out the intricacies of an International Driver's License.

(For those of you who don't know, Technoboy is from Italy. He has the proper International Driver's License, as required by the State of Texas, and even carries a back-up Italian Identification Card to make sure there are no problems when he goes out. He also looks his age, which is a bit older than 21.)

After much confusion at the door, Arrogant Security dude decides to throw Technoboy a bone and let him in but will not allow him to drink. He also confiscated the ID.

Technoboy hardly drinks anyway but it still pissed him off because he had the proper ID and definitely looks old enough to drink.

Security dude even admitted at one point that yes, indeed the International Driver's License was real, but the identification card did not match the Italian Driver's License codes in his handy ID guide. Of course not! That's because it WASN'T an Italian Driver's license. It was an Italian Identification card.

Anyway, I figured Technoboy would cheer up once we got inside. Since I didn't actually see the ID incident take place, I figured it was no big deal as long as he got in. So, we paid our cover and went inside.

The music was slammin and I was ready to groove. Technoboy, however, was still steaming over the ID incident and couldn't even talk to a fellow D-Raver who stopped by to say hello. He said no matter how good the music was, it wasn't enough to make him enjoy the evening. So I finished my drink and we got ready to leave. I could tell there was no way the mood was going to improve.

Unfortunately, we had to get those IDs back from the asshole security dude on the way out. We walked outside and Technoboy politely asked for his ID.

That's when it got ugly.

Security dude says to another security dude, standing nearby, "Give me that fake ID I handed you".

It was bad enough that this guy had to swing his tiny dick around to wield the little bit of power afforded to him by the *Lizard Lounge*. But then he had to go and act like an Arrogant SOB on top of everything else.

I said, "They're not fake". Then he started to argue with me.

*TIP* Dont argue with me when I am right.

The security dudes started passing the IDs back and forth, threatening to keep them and laughing at Technoboy. It was like a giant game of keep-away. One of them even said, "You can get those at any flea market".

(You know, none of this would have even been a problem if they hadn't been so arrogant and rude)

I was HOT. How dare they? Fucking redneck morons.

We kept trying to explain (politely) and they kept on laughing.

Bastards.

I told Technoboy to tell them off in Italian but he was so angry he wasn't listening and I think he was as worried as I was that if we pissed them off, he would never see his ID cards again.

The keep-away game lasted for another 10 minutes or so, while they pulled out their little book and tried to prove that they were right. Then, Arrogant Security dude says, "Next time, bring your passport and maybe we'll let you in".

Technoboy said, "There won't be a next time"

I couldn't have said it better myself.

All I can say is boo for LL. Everytime I go there I leave pissed off. Sorry you guys had such a crap-tacular time. The weekend has only just begun...hope Saturday nite turns out better for ya!

ohhh what waste of a night i just got back from the Lizard Lounge its 409 here cant wait intill 420 i normally dont ever leave the club intill it closes but tonight i had to get out of there it was bunk no vibes at all too many dudes standing around on the dance floor like idiots ughhh i hate those flamers and also there were NOT that many ladies there at all really was a dissapintment ......
also they had a post saying lots of free stuff they didnt give away crap only a few cd's and a few shirts and a sticker ! and i saw one hat be given away ... but i dont care its the fact of the matter that it was posted lots of free stuff blah blah.....
and also it was a waste of a roll i poped one when i got there and i was rollin hard, then the club got sucky so my roll wasnt goin good so i ate another to try to make this night more fun for me but i just wasnt feeling the club and DAMN DID IT SUCK !!!!

Electrawoman said it all! The music was phat! I have to give mad props to Bunny and her DJs. However, after they pissed me off like that, there was noway my mood would have improved. Let me tell you that nothing pisses me more off than dealing with ignorance and arrogance!

Therefore I was literally disgusted from that club as a whole. Except for the music, nothing, absolutely nothing was OK! Now I know why none of our friends wants to go to the Lizard Lounge.

The funniest part was when he was trying to explain to me how the ID should look like based on his book. On top of everything he has a hard time listening to people, and also has a bad attitude.

I say this: The Lizard Lounge makes the Bronco security look like professional experts, and makes the crappy Village Station look like Studio 54 in NY.

The Lizard Lounge doesn’t deserve any business – Dallas would be better off if that place would be just shut down! Whoever manages that place is an idiot. I will send a letter to the Lizard management, just to let them know how disgusted I was to visit their place.

Anyway, both, Electrawoman and I forced ourselves to the Lizard only in support for Bunny – otherwise we had other plans. I’m sorry for Bunny, but it was a big mistake to go to the Lizard, and it won’t happen again.

Oh.... yeah.... all the ecstasy of this world wouldn't help the way I felt, the only way to appreciate that place is with an overdose of Special K, that way you are knocked out, and don't have to witness the disgrace of such a club. I agree with Rollinraver, there was absolutely no vibe there, and I didn't like most of the crowd.

Oh... I did get to meet a nice guy from draves - I forgot his name - sorry if I wasn't very social but I was just too mad. Sorry we had to meet this way.

haha.. wow.. am I the only one who had a great itme? The music was definately the only good part of the night, as always the LL security sucks a mean one... but man, D-Jabe tore up, and I got his autograph, and then the guy after him was kickin ass as well.. that's exactly the kind of music I needed last night, really puts me in a great mindset.

AND... to the guy who's roll got messed up... I'm sorry you weren't there for the right reasons. And if you had kept your eyes open... you would have noticed about 10 cd's thrown into/passed out in the crowd... I tend to hand free stuff to people I see out at all our events... and who are showing their love for the music... I also threw out a Video (that was $12) of Ibiza, Zen Fest, Airport III. You should know that these free give aways come from our pockets (both my hubby and I are out of work!)...NOT the clubs pocket.

Don't worry about it. You did what you were supposed to do and well, I might add. It's not up to you to make sure security isn't moronic. But, I think it is sweet that you care.

(We did look for you to say Hi, BTW but couldn't find you in the crowd.)

And I promise, this won't stop me from coming to another one of your events.

It only sours my taste for Lizards.

yeah, the music was awesome. There were too many ppl trying to freakdance in the main area, and it was funny to see every guy trying to hit any piece of ass that stood still long enough. It was also really crowded with ppl who wanted to get on the dance floor and stand. Oh well. Also, they didn't post the coupon until sometime after 6, so I wasn't able to get it. I could also tell the LL security staff was big on brawn but not on brain. Oh, and fyi, they can't seize your id and keep it. They have to give it to the Dallas PD, who can officially seize it, if they can even take it at all (i'm not sure, been awhile...). All they can do is deny you entrance and call the police.

On to the music....

They were really mixing it up in the side (video bar?). I went for the music, not the drugs or ass, so I got what I went for, and it was AWESOME!! Lately I've only had time to go see the big DJs, and it was great to see some up-and-coming talent spin some good trance. It was good to get my "fix" again.......

Thanks, Epic, and Bunny, for all of your hard work. It was great!

Might be a plausible correction for the Bs that goes on in the lizard lounge...Everyone has played there and moved on. I know Bunny will move on to bigger and better things and I hope you all support the dj's that she brings to the tables whereever...Though it might be time to fuck the Lizard Lounge hard core...As soon as Bunny and them are gone...

Technoboy and Electrawoman, you can email the managment of the lizard lounge about this incident, actually I encourage you too, a couple years ago, me and my hubby went up there and they wouldnt let him in because his id was cracked, it was legal and valid just had a small crack in it, he emailed the managment and we ended up on the guest list for a few weeks, granted we didnt really go back, but still it kinda helped. theres a form on the website, if you would like to let someone know how you feel. sux that they acted that way towards you, usually the door guy is generally pretty nice....i guess they got a new one.

Last nite was a good nite out, I got there late (around 1 maybe) so i only saw one of Epiks djs and he was bangin it out, my kinda music. I spent my nite constantly running between the two rooms. I forget who was in the main room rite now, i think Dynamix II? (hangovers are bad) but the music was suprisingly good in there as well, as opposed to the norm. Good breaks. I thought they were good, but I dont listen to very much breaks. Overall good nite musically. Props to tha Epik crew, ive never been to one of their events before.

Its unfortunate though everyone has to put up with the questionable behavior of LL staff. I think im gonna right them a letter as well to get my vote heard. If everyone rights letters, maybe theyll change up a bit.

Got there at 10 and left at 12:30. Sucky vibe.. Even in my drunken state.. O well everynight cant be off da hook. I have never had any problems with the door guy hes cool and the rest of the security are aight.

I appreciate those of you who came out in support last night....thanx to all u hardcore out there who stayed to the bitter end....u guys are the reason I mix records....thanx t@bby, planojunglist, d-jabe, linda, bunny, scarecrow, daniel, erichanson, and any that i forgot for keepin it real....I'll hopefully c all of ya'll real soon at FEEL on 1/19...
