Got there at 9:15 or so stood in the parking lot and talked with Armondo and Karen for a few minutes. There was a line when we pulled up but it was gone by the time i got to the door. Went in, there was a nice little crowd and Joe was doing a bad ass job... When Mary went on everyone was jumping around and having a great 'ol time...Good job mary!! And RonE OH MY GOD!!! It was my first time to see him spin and i was blow the fuck away!! That man knows how to throw down some hard shit!!! there was NO WAY to stand still during that set... it was fucking UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! I will make sure to see that man spin again! DJabe did a bad ass job too. The best thing about DJabe is he has so much energy and he gets into it so much! It is just so much fun to watch him spin!! Boogie Nights was GREAT too... they look like they were having so much fun up there together... Johnny Funk (AH! he such a HOTTIE!) was also showing his talent last night too...(i can't say much about it though i wasn't in the video bar much.) This party had the great Epik vibe too i have nothing bad to say about this party other than we need more party people!!! If you missed this, you missed a BAD ASS party!!! |

and two thumbs up! thats what I got to say about "a family affair"! great job steve and karen for putting this whole shin-dig together! I can't wait for the next FULLY FUNKTIONAL event! now on to tha talent........ mxmind-sorry bro, I missed your set. I got off work at 11 and rushed my ass up there! ![]() Snowhite-I have NOTHING to say about your boobs. nevermind. I also missed most of your set due to the workplace but what I walked in on sounded like smoothness in the essence of smooth. or something. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MARY JANE! ![]() RON-E - You are still a badass in my book! You ALWAYS know how to keep a party jumpin' and rock tha hizzouse! It looks like mary is kinda molding her style after yours with those insane hard tracks! Great job bro with working tha shit out of that mixer! D-JABE-D-JABE-D-JABE-D-JABE- I WOULD WRITE YOUR NAME HERE MORE IF IT DISPLAYED HOW MUCH I LOVED YOUR SET! Holy shit B.J., what the fuck was in YOUR cheerios???? WOW! I was in complete awe during your set! Your mixing was near flawless but the track selection was what i was lovin'! Such sweet melodies with perfect placement! beautiful! Keep a close eye on that mauro picotto track or else it might fall into my crate! ![]() A family affair tag set-great idea! I'm glad I came up with it! definatley got the place jumpin' ALL OVER AGAIN!Meximike- great job behind the mike! You didn't over do it like some mc's do during a show. You recognized when the crowd wasn't too hype and took full advantage and got them back on their toes!!! (as if the music wasn't doing it anyhow! ) great job mike!Boogie nights- great job noah and derek! You guys had the soul flyin' high in tha main room after a full night of hard bangin' trance music! You guys impress me more and more every time! keep up tha great tunes and I will kepp shakin dat ass! Oh Noah,no crack before IHOP!!!! Johnny Funk- this man KNOWS how to keep a party bumpin all night long! You are always solid behind the decks and always bring the frestest tunes to the table!! (dirty rotten atpt worker ) every time I went through the video bar, there was a bigger crowd there jammin' to your tunes! great job as always johnny!!!!!Big thanks to Fully Funktional and the lizard lounge for making this night possible!!! party rating 9 of 10!!!!!! only got a 9 due to the fact that it was scheduled on the same night of Saeed and Palash!!! -jg

First off... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who came out and SUPPORTED US!!! We had a great night! Wonderful vibe... outstanding crowd... I simply love the people we bring out! So... thanks to everyone who came out.... and to everyone who helped with flyers and promoting... with YOU we would be nothing! MxMind played first... really got the crowd set up just right for the night! Lots of amazing tracks... that sounded perfect on the sound system in the main room! SnoWhite then hit the decks... as always... she rocked the room hard! I remember Ron-E saying, "She is playing really high energy stuff!"... if he makes that statement... you know it's banging! Ron-E came on next... yes! He has been away from the decks in Dallas too long! Ron-E OWNED the room! And he had a crowd around the decks watching his use his *special* mixer the whole time! D-Jabe was next.... and just when you thought it couldn't get any better... BAM! He showed us what was up! D-Jabe took the crowd to the next level of sweating... talk about a riot on the dancefloor! Finally... Boogie Knights closed out the night... really a perfect ending to a perfect night! Way to go Derrick and Noah! They kept the people moving till the end! Oh... and Johnny Funk was holding down the Video Bar proper all night long! He was smiling and bouncing as he played... positive attitude to go along with his skills on the decks... NICE! MexiMike... he IS the MC God! Thanks for pumping the crowd and waking them up at the right moments! You did a great job!!! Well, I personally had a great time... just when I think it can't get any better... it does! I would like to thank Steve Armstrong... aka: Fully FUNKtional as well... together... we pulled it together...and pulled it off! It was great working with you... and thanks for putting up with my overly-detailed ways! I know I can be annoying... and you were always calm in the face of "Karen"! HA! In closing... I would like to personally thank the Lizard Lounge for all the opportunities they have given EpiK. Without you supporting us... we wouldn't be where we are today. Thank you for all your support!

Prince V. and Shady... I am really sorry to hear that you had a bad time. Yea, it sounds like maybe hard house is not your *thang*... which is all good. *NOTE: The majority of the music on Friday was HARD HOUSE... not trance. There was some trance splashed in there... but mostly hard house and hard dance music was played!* It's really fast-paced music... that can bang away in some people's heads... not for everyone. I will say that it is nuts how HUGE the hard house scene is in the UK... packing venues all over the place! The kiddos over there eat it up! Yea, interesting fact.... the headliners we bring tend to spin quite a bit of hard house. Again, very big in the UK. Rob Tissera was 80% hard house and 20% trance. Anways... again, sorry to hear you had a bad time. But, I think Mixed Up (11.26.03) will be more to your liking! There will be house... funky house... breaks.... trance... but no hard house. Take care and thanks for giving the event a chance.
