Turned out to be a pretty good night once they finally got Dj merritts sorry ass off the turntables. It was quite a turnout for a thursday as far as peps go. Kimball Collins/Sandra Collins played some kooooooo sets ... anybody from Draves make it out??

Yeah, I made it out.

Sandra Collins set exceeded my expectations.
I listened to her new CD Cream and didn't
think much of it.

Been a big fan of KC.
Seen some really good sets and some that were off.
Last nites seemed middle of the road for him.
Not his worst but far from his best.

I'm getting a bit tired of Red Jacket.
It's not a bad venue, just....

woke up at 6 that morning.. got my ass up.. went to school.. went to work (got my last warning next i get terminated) great! so i wasn't in that good of a mood.. really looking forward to the night.. though. then i ate some chinese food (bad move).. and took a nap.. realized i had to go out so i woke up.. put on some clothes and drug my half asleep ass to the red jacket. i was diggin kimball's set... even tho i didnt have much energy. sandra came on and put me in that thinking mood.. where i just chilled and listened to the mixes.. and i was having a good time then i got sick to my stomach and felt like i was gonna throw up.. i went outside for some air.. then came back in and i just felt like complete shit so i bounced around 2 during her set. that was the 1st time in my LIFE i have left during someones set that i wanted to see.. ;[ maybe i'll get to see her again when i'm feelin better.

I used to be a big Kimball Collins fan back in the day and I watched Sandra explode to what she is today as I was living on the west coast still. I just didnt really care for there music selection last night. I was dissapointed that Sandra started from scratch, but that was probably a good idea since Kimball Collins set didnt take me anywhere that I havnt been. The two Djs came into Dallas and just played records. Both Djs didnt connect with the crowed like im used to seeing and I just thought it was a waste of 15 bucks. Just my opinion.
