maybe the arts magnet is nationally renown. but the rest of the schools suck ass. dallas' suburbs are where it's at. richardson, Highland Park, and so on are the ones that get all the accolades.

Does it matter if it is a magnet or not? The point is the city has it.


Two Dallas high schools took the top spots on Newsweek magazine's 2007 list of America's best high schools.
Dallas' School for the Talented and Gifted took the No. 1 spot on the list for the second year in the row. The No. 2 spot was held by Dallas' School of Science and Engineering, up from the No. 8 spot on the 2006 list. Both are magnet schools in the Dallas Independent School District.
North Hills School in Irving ranked No. 13, down from No. 12 last year; and Highland Park High School in Dallas rose to No. 14 from 18th on the 2006 list.
The only other local school in the top 100 was Colleyville Heritage High School, which was No. 95 on the list, up from No. 122 last year.

Newsweek ranked more than 1,200 public schools according to a ratio that added the number of advanced placement, international baccalaureate or Cambridge tests taken by students at a school and divided it by the number of graduating seniors.

Yes it does suck! I'm living in Irving - I have two gas stations RIGHT across the street from me and NO BEER.....so I have to drive 10 miles just to get to Northwest Highway just to go to Big Daddy's....IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think everyday about just packing up and moving to Santa Monica or San Francisco where my 2 brothers live. Being married makes it harder but also to a conservative wife who daily hates my passion with music. Not to air dirty laundry but are there any other producers here who have the same problem?
