![]() | Annoying neighbor's dog that barks all morning
I understand that animals need to go out in the morning, but why wouldn't you even try to get your dog to stop it's constant barking at 7:30am? At least make some sort of attempt...or shit let the damn thing back inside. It is pretty apparent to me that my neighbors don't have a regular schedule as their cars are there at different hours throughout the day, so why the need to let him bark that early? Poor Josh works the 2nd shift so doesn't have to be at work til 1pm. I would at least like to have some peace and quiet until 10am. The worst part is that our bedroom faces right up to their backyard fence so he is literally barking right outside our window. So I am awake at 8:23 and bitchy. HI.

I had neighbors that did that all the time, finally I just started going over and opening the gate to let it out each time it woke me before 8am. After a couple weeks of hunting down their dog all over the area, or picking him up at the pound they finally seemed to get the hint and stopped letting the dog outside unsupervised.

same thing happens to us. bedroom window is right next to the neighbors' backyard too. i don't mind it so much in the morning, but at night when i'm trying to go to sleep, and their dogs are outside barking to be let in, that's when we will call them and say, "please let your dogs in. it's late." we're lucky to have their cell # though. it would suck if we didn't actually know them.

We deal with the same shit. Our neighbors (that are 2 doors down from us and across the street) leave their shitty little chiwawa on their front porch in the afternoons on the weekends and tied up. They put him out there in the evenings during the week for a few hours too. The little shit barks the ENTIRE time. They are either home, or go run errands, all while the little bitch barks and barks and barks. When I'm outside watering my yard, it goes ape shit. I thought about going over there and talking to them and/or leaving a note, but the damn dog wont let me come near it's property and I'm not sure if they speak a word a English. I'm surprised the mailman gets to deliver the mail. Shit is MORE then annoying.

do some research on the city of dallas website and i'm sure you can find a code regarding neighborhood barking dogs & homeowner rights. print out what you find and attach it to a really friendly letter where you express regret at having to bring it to their attention, and hand deliver it. that's what we were going to do, until we started talking to the people face-to-face one day in the front yard while we were both outside. ^that's more for red than crazybitch, since she's moving out soon anyway. |

Well, I love the idea of letting the dog out of it's yard. TOO FUNNY! Teaches the owners a lesson. Otherwise... you know, when I bitched about having to listen to my neighbor's dog bark... everyone told me to get a house. Yet, it sounds like people who live in houses have to listen to barking dogs too. Hhhuuummm. I personally HATE listening to a dog bark on and on. I'm not sure how an owner can tolerate it. And it's just rude to make their neighbors listen to it when the owners are not home.
