Seriously, I have these two friends that I would die for.... I love them to death.

However they are married, and have been for about oh 3 years...well since I have moved back they have been on this mission to slighly hook me up with various women. Some are women that I know from years ago, and some are Viviana's family. Mostly because they would like for me to settle down near them...and would like me to actually find someone I wouldnt mind keeping in my life for more than one week. ( or one that lives at least within the tri-county area)

Now Viviana is Portugese ( Brazilian), her entire family comes from a strong heritage, lots of money( The fam, owns construction business, international distribution outlets, banking instituions etcetc)...well she has a cousin who is 30. Very attractive, drives a
Z06, yadd yadda yadda...but VERY high maintenance. ( Which is something I find unattractive). They have been saying I should take Christine out..and join "the family"
( like were in a Sopranos episode or some shit)

Well last night, I get home from dinner with a friend...and they call. Viv, gets on the phone..says "Hey my dad, wanted me to invite you to come over for dinner tommorrow...my mom is making your favorite" ( Which is some kind of Roast, with this dope spicy onion sauce thing) Not one to turn down her mothers dope home cooking...I say ok.

I get there, and it just so happens, I get placed next to Christine's ( the cousin) dad. He and I spend most of the day, talking about all kinds of shit...construction, philosophy, women, beachs, wine and various places around the globe.....a couple of times im thinking, this feels like an interview.

Well son of a bitch, if he doesnt motion to me, my friend, and Viv's dad to come outside. He pours us up some another glass of wine from his private stash, and in his rough accent says" You know what Kevin..I like you. You should date my daughter...she needs man like you." I say...I barely know her. His reply: It does not matter, I will take care of that...she dates these idiots, that never make her happy. But you, you could make her happy....your a real man, very smart..very very smart. She need someone that keep her in her place...but treat her well.

Ok how the fuck did this just happen...is all I could think.

We go to leave, and the first thing I say to Viv and Micah..thanks guys, but I dont need any help, getting a woman. lol..They both swear up and down they knew nothing of it...and that it was her Dad and Mothers idea. Then say "we know you dont need help,you have more numbers than the yellow pages, but it would be cool to see you with someone..that can handle you, and maybe make you wanna keep them around".

That does sound a bit stressful, but keep in mind it could be worse.

Two of Jeff's friends were practically married by their families when they were kids (both strict roman catholic with greek background) so they never really dated anyone but each other, and now they are married. Happily, but still... it just sounds like they missed the best parts of growing up, like having their friends try to incorporate them into some whacky dating schemes.

No not at all.

I wasnt really even stressing it. Im pretty cool under pressure.

Its just...im not really the "by the books kinda guy". I get bored easily, and enjoy a challenge.....getting some ass handed to me on a platinum platter is not exciting. Im not the type of guy who has a problem with meeting people...I mean shit im, 29. I dont think anyone at our age has a "problem". Were not kids anymore

Im not impressed by money, made for t.v. looks, or any of the superficial B.S that many look for when seeking out a long term mate. Someone has to be VERY special, for me to truly care...or have feelings for. I have to see something in them. It might even be something that they, themselves do not see....but if I see it, then I want it. Which has happened only a VERY few times in my life.

By her Dad, practically handing her to me....does nothing more than really turn me off to her, more than I already was.

Its kinda funny now. But I was just like "lets not pressure the issue". No need for her or anyone to have to feel uncombfortable when we hang out.

Their hearts, intentions and motives..are coming from a good place.

If somebody pulled that shit with me I wouldn't talk to them for a long long time, because obviously they don't know me well enough to know that shit doesn't fly and isn't me at all.
