Eh, it's not that hard. Unless you are laying them off, then they probably deserve to be fired. It's their own fault. Maybe it'll be a wake up call for said employee to stop being a fucktarded dickhole.

very true. hell, i'm a store manager and on a pretty nice salary, and even i can be easily replaced. my numbers are through the roof though, and my last 2 weeks i've been #1 in the district, and top 10 in the region. they would have a hell of a time finding someone of my caliber, but it can be done. sometimes i feel like a trained monkey could do my job, but hell, i say that and i have incompetents working for me.

Wait wait wait. So this guy calls in sick at 7am (store opens at 10). Right? You call two other people to go up there and open up but nobody got to in time for regular opening hours resulting in major loss of business? LOB is a great reason to terminate somebody and I know that dude was responsible for opening the store but ultimately you're the manager, and you're responsible for making sure the store is open during business hours. Yea the dude is a moron for leaving the deposit out, and yea he's a douche for calling in sick when he obviously is too lazy/tired/hungover... so I don't think firing him is the worst thing... that being said, be prepared to go in yourself next time something like this happens because NEXT TIME it could be your ass on da choppin block and not some shitty little douches.. Good luck firing him though. I fired somebody over the phone once. Then I had to let her come back to work because my boss rehired her because he wanted a slutty middle aged coke whore to spend time giving him blowjobs on his boat. Which is why she was always calling in late or sick and what not.. which is why I fired her in da first place. It was retarded, I sooooo don't miss that job.
