Project Manager and Corp America

You ever send out an e-mail to someone and its meant to be seen by that person?

I have a set of processes I follow when certain things need to get done. Once in a while I run into obstacles that require I escalate the situation in order to get things done faster. When this happens I turn to a Project Manager to put heat on a certain group to help us out. Anyone who works for Corp America knows that these days it takes an Act of God to open up a stupid Firewall port. So yesterday this situation came up. I sent the Project Manager an e-mail. Instead of sending out a new e-mail he simply forwards mine. Lets just say certain things were said in my e-mail that shouldn't have been read by other people.

Some people simply have no email etiquette.
I hate inappropriate usage of the 'respond to all' button.
Manager sends out a request for everyone's extension...why does the whole world need to 'respond to all'?

I basically told him it was absurd that we have to wait 2 weeks for a firewall port to be open and that he needed to crack the whip on some people if we wanted to have our new JVM up and running within 2 days.

E-mail in the corporate world is like driving. It's not that you should be worried about you, you should be worried about the other people that handle your email. You're on a corporate mail server. It has the potential of being read by everyone so keep it professional.
