| Annie was put down on Sunday - today is hard I feel like if I post this I can release the sadness from within me, not sure if anyone understands that or not. Annie was the little pit mix that was throw from a balcony by her owner, kicked down stairs and tossed into a dumpster. She was rescued by a neighbor who brought her to Operation Kindness. She was also not vaccinated as a puppy and exposed to distemper. She survived the distemper but as a result of both that and the abuse her little body constantly shook with tremors and she whimpered throughout the day and night. She underwent surgery but the major damage could not be reversed and the decision was made to put her down on Sunday. I had the chance to meet her at the Mercy memorial and she was so sweet and loving, even after all of the abuse she suffered through. She loved people and attention. She just wanted to be pet and kissed. She only had 2 months to experience people’s warmth and kindness and now she’s gone. I am so sad and confused. I cannot understand why anyone would want to hurt a dog. It hurts me so badly that I cannot stop it. Sometimes I wish I did not feel so deeply about this type of thing because it would be much easier. I would not feel so compelled to do something about it, I would not feel like I can never do enough. That is so sad. This just brought tears to my eyes. I can't understand how someone could abuse a dog. The dog doesn't know what to do. You must teach it to behave. My dog is bad everyday but do I kick it or throw it down the stairs? NO I spray her with a water bottle instead. Just imagine what they would do to their own child.

omg, that is horrible. I would seriously like to throw whoever did that off a balcony and see how they like it I'll never understand how someone can do that to an innocent animal

Cruelty towards animals is unforgivable. I don't think a lot of things are unforgivable, but this is one.
