I can't wait until I finish school.

Its not the school work that's stressing me out.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of people who give me attitudes about what I should and should not do with my life outside of school regarding finances and my social life.

I am enrolled in 16 semester hours totalling 30 hours on campus.
I work 35 hours per week.
Then there's studying...........
I take club gigs, go out to events, or spend money on unnecessary things whenever my work and classwork schedules and budget allow for it.

Anyone who wants to get bitchy in their judgement or expectations on my time or money above and beyond my resources at this stage can just PISS OFF....

When I graduate, I'm throwing an invitation-only party, and will only invite people who gave an ounce of understanding (as opposed to bitching) whenever I couldn't afford the time and/or money to do what they wanted of me. I will shower them with love, appreciation, alcohol, and music in thanks for being good friends.

Anyone not invited who was expecting to be can bitch about how the party is so lame all they want. We'll not miss them one bit while we're enjoying ourselves.

I don't have any school loans, which is part of the reason I'm so amazingly broke and work so much. I will be taking a small loan to cover expenses during my 6 month internship, but that's it.

BUT that means I won't have anything to pay off when I graduate.

I still won't be extremely well off when I graduate from my bachelor's, but I'll be able to afford a modest house by myself working only 20 hours a week in a profession I absolutely love. (there are very few full time jobs in my field, but the bottom range of the salary is very comfortable)

Not very many people can make that claim.

I'm kind of thinking instead of trying to roll in dough right away by taking 2 jobs, I'd like to spend the spare time on part time graduate work. With the master's and extra license, I would be legally allowed to get into the REALLY cool aspects of my field. It sounds torturous, but I'll be working/studying at least 20 hours less a week than I am now, and I'll be making twice the money I am now.

I think the best part about being done with school is that in many jobs there is no homework. You get up in the morning, shower, eat, get dressed, and go to work. Once its time to clock out, the rest of the day is yours. Hours and hours of free time!!! For all the people with jobs that have homework, I don't know what to tell you.

Hope you have a job lined up and can live the good life.

Who cares about what people think you should do with your time. As long as you get the things done & have he time & means to do so. I woul tell them to kiss my ass b/c they are probably just jealous. I use to do the same thing & only get a few hours of sleep each night. I did what I had to do at that time. I couldn't do that now. I stress a lot now. You should be proud of yourself for all that you have accomplished.

I'm a music therapy major, so I'm in school to teach people how to chill out with music (among other functions of music)

The downside of this is that I have to learn so much music every week on so many instruments, and analyze the composition of so many pieces that I just can't listen to music the same anymore.



And yes, I think in some people's cases they are jealous.
I think in other cases, its that people have come to expect me to support just about everything in the clubs and they translate my absence means abandonment from support of local goings on.
(Last week, I actually got attitude from someone because I wasn't willing to skip an evening exam to head out to some special event)

Then there's my parents.... Heh.... They were actually the source of inspiration of this post after they called and harassed me to "be responsible" and get a 3rd job because I can't afford medical/dental insurance, and because they caught wind that I got a 1-month emergency interest-free student loan to pay for some car repairs.

Im always telling people i know in collage there thousands of people with the same degree you have, well you might have your new profession cornered thats anew one on me. Can you actull get paid for that? wow!

My old dj partner who graduated from Baylor to be a theripist, now works construction, cause it pays better.
