Peachtree accounting software is is the biggest piece of shit evar. God damn my life would be soo much easier if these assholes did some user research. I swear sometimes I have to spend 20 minutes doing something that should literaly take under 3 minutes.

wow people still use peachtree, they have been re-purchased 5 times in the last 10 years by other software companies and its still based on ancient DOS code. Using peachtree is about as much fun as punching yourself in the balls every 10 minutes. You might talk to your software rep about upgrading to Business works. Its not great or anything but its a seamless upgrade from peachtree and its based on code thats not from the stone age so its much much more user friendly.

Yeah I want to get something that's not a total piece of shit. I work for a nother guy that's using some small business software a friend of his developed custom for his business. It's from 1992!

lol. Didn't peachtree come with a color-coded sticker pack to put all over the keyboard?

...like flight sims back in the day that were so complicated they gave you a giant cardboard overlay for the keyboard - so you could figure out what key combo's did what...

QuickBooks was designed to be easy to use and understand for small businesses. Intuit obviously targets that market by selling QB in retail stores as opposed to having market representatives calling on large company officials. Also, you can't make footnotes in QB, which again, isn't usually necessary for small businesses.

However, you CAN export any report to excel and make any changes/footnotes/FASB standard you want to.

Oh, and Peachtree is basically only used by oldschool accountants who are resistant to change and construction companies.

Most accounting software has a "convert from Peachtree" feature, but it requires learning a new software.
