Friends who ask for advice and don't take heed

Ok so "angie" as we'll call her went through a nasty relationship with her husband, she came to me and asked me what she should do. This was 2002 mind you. I said maybe you should move on and get a divorce. I was like if he won't stop cheating on you, then what else is there to be done but divorce. I simply said at least you don't have any kids to deal with, it'll be easier to go through with the divorce. Well what did she do.....fucked around and got pregnant by him. He treated her like shit even more, but i maintained that she should not have went back, now she has 2 kids by him. So as of 2005, she's been back in forth with him. So yesterday she calls up crying to my wife this and that, about how she got back with him and came home only to find him with another woman in bed.


I was like hang up the phone. She fucking doesn't listen to us anyway, whats the point of trying to give her advice anymore. I'm personally tired of dealing with her, and wasting my time listening and offering advice.

why tell her anything? I go with the ignore approach when someone gets annoying.

if you don't acknowledge their behavior, they'll look elsewhere for the attention

Yeah this is where my thought process is . I like "Angie" but i'm extremely bored of her problems. Her husband did stuff that amazed me she would actually forgive. I don't judge, but even i had to say damn he did that.

That's what I sometimes do...not with my friends but with a business. I don't complain to them instead I go straight to corporate. I have done that twice this week.
