Nightmare Before Oscar G

Their are few who deny that
what the Ghost Bar does the best
is put their patrons patience to the test
But I was so hyped to see,
Oscar G for FREE!
So I decided to put on my very best!

I arrived early on,
as suggested by a friend,
and I believed there'd be no problem getting in.
Ten dollars to valet park,
not a problem after dark
when accompanying my sexy lady friend.

But a dick disguised as a doorman
his shifty eyes on me,
demanded twenty dollars,
"but your lady gets in free"

I'm gonna stop. I was writing a poem so my bitching would just sound whiney.
The doorman pockets the cash, no register, no stamp. He never looks at me directly, but around as if he was in the middle of a drug deal and looking for cops. At the end of the velvet rope I asked an elevator attendant where the bar is. He ignores me just long enough to piss me off. It's important to understand that my girl and me were the only two waiting. When I finally got upstairs their were about 50 people in the bar.

I was warned by those of you that had similar experiences. I thought I could endure it for Oscar G. I don't mind spending money when I have it to spend and I don't need my ass kissed for ego stroking. I just don't like being treated like shit when I go out. The attitudes at that place are worse than some LA encounters I've experienced. Those shitty attitudes and the random cover charges only hurt the promoter. The event was advertised as a free event. I don't know the intricacies of the business but J. Word and others should no if these fuckers are taking some of their money.

I won't go there again, no matter who's spinnin. I left before the show and went to Whisky Bar for 'Got House' cause at Ghost I got hosed.

I work for the W and we are in no way responsible for the Ghost Bar. They lease/own the 33rd floor. non of the proceeds go to us at the end of the night. They are owned and managed by Nine Group. They have their corporate office across the street at the AT&T Plaza

now you've got to wonder what these guys heard at the monday meeting, you know... it's not like these employees are making commission on cover you know. Obviously the Nine Group management is pushing their employees to do this.
